How fine can the pods grind?

The pods can grind down to a delicate texture but not powdered like typical pre-ground spices.

Can I use fresh herbs in the pods?

The FinaMill pods are only meant for dried herbs and spices. Do not use fresh herbs in the pods.

Can I grind whole nutmeg or cinnamon?

The current version of the FinaMill does have a strong enough motor to use the Grater Pod for grating whole nutmeg, cardamom pods, cloves, star anise or cinnamon quills. Break the cinnamon quills to fit before grating.

Can I grind coffee beans?

Yes, our Dried Herbs+ Pod is designed to fit large spices and coffee beans. Grinding coffee beans is slower than a typical coffee grinder and not intended for use with brewing coffee.

My Pod’s cap is stuck, How do I open it?

Along the sides of the pod are two holes cut into the base. Insert a key, or ridged object then twist open. The hole plus object will give you more leverage to open the base.
