What headphones are good for this item?

I just use my smartphone headphones. I'm sure you'll get better sound with a pair of good music headphones but I don't think it's a requirement. The Vox amPlugs are simply designed and my smartphone headset work perfectly.

What type of battery's are best ??

Any good-quality alkaline AAA battery (x 2.)

Does this thing drain batteries as fast as the korg pandora px4 did?

I've been using the same batteries since the 1st week of January. Granted, I only use the Vox once, maybe, twice a week, for about 1.5 hours at a time. I have a jumbo pack of batteries at the ready, though.

Is anybody else getting the high pitch interference screech coming out of this thing? It will be fine one time i use it then the next time all

I don't get any screech or distortion but I barely get any sound either. This thing is way too quiet. It barely sounds louder than being unplugged. Not worth the money IMO.
