Is it necessary? Maybe not 100% but I’ve been wanting to get one for ages. And once you use it there’s no going back. It’s another very pleasing part of the process. It feels heavy and solid and well made, and just leaves you with a beautiful flat dose of grounds ready for the tamp (just bought from same company). No regrets, only smiles.

I love it. I saw other people using distributor for making expresso and I have been wondering for a long time to buy it. I wish I had bought it sooner. So worth it, smoothes, flattens and pushes your grinded coffee at the same time and you will see a huge difference in your brewing with less channeling. Must have for expresso making.
