The Owala water bottles are pretty rugged, but the lids not so much when dropped on a hard surface and it lands upside down. Needles to say I needed a replacement but also wanted to have a spare. Not only in case of another accident, but so I can toss one in the dishwasher while having a clean one already to go. The bottle doesn't get dirty as quickly as the lid, especially since it's the part that you put your mouth on all the time. So having a clean lid waiting in the cabinet seemed like a good idea, since I needed to order a replacement anyway. They fit onto my 32oz bottle and screwed on tight and without any leaks. Just what I needed and expected. It great to be able to order just a replacement lid since the bottle will last forever.

If you own an Owala freesip bottle, it’s safe to say you are particular about your water bottles. The feel of the button, the snap of the lid, the tone it makes when it hits an arm chair. It all matters. This lid delivers on all those fronts and is indistinguishable from the original. The key to quality is the torsion spring. The original and these lids use a 4 coil spring while some only use a 3 coil spring (See the photo). It may not sound like a lot, but the extra coil makes the lid snappier and the close requires little more force. It’s subtle, but you will notice the difference.

I was pleasantly surprised by this replacement lid! Even though it’s not an Owala-branded product, it fits my cup perfectly and seals tightly without any leaks. The straw fits just as well, which is a huge plus. The color options are fantastic, and I went for a unique design that gave my cup a fresh, one-of-a-kind look. It matches the original perfectly! The push button works, but it was a little sticky at first. After using it a bit more, it’s become more responsive, so no complaints there. The build quality feels solid, and I’ve had no issues with durability so far. I decided to take a chance on this off-brand lid after a disappointing experience with Owala’s warranty claim process, and I’m happy I did. It’s been a great alternative. I was really disappointed when my original Owala lid broke, and since Owala doesn’t offer replacement lids, I was worried about finding one that worked. This one fits like a charm! It works just as well as the original. I did notice a strong chemical smell at first, but after washing it twice, it’s almost completely gone. I’m sure it’ll fade entirely soon. In the end, this replacement lid is an excellent buy. It seals well, prevents leaks, and looks just like the original. A small, affordable solution that really does the job.

After an earlier purchase of a replacement cap failed (the button fell off), I purchased these. So far they work as well as the original cap - they fit perfectly and seal tightly to prevent leakage. The button is a little stiff, but that's how the original was. It's likely that after repeated use it will become easier to push the button to release the lid. These do not come with straws, so you will need straws or reuse the original straw. It would be nice to have straws come with it. The color is similar to ones you'll find on the original bottles, combining multiple colors. These are dishwasher safe so it's easy to clean these after use. The previous one I purchased seemed great but the button broke off after a couple of weeks. As I've had these for about a week, this will earn 5 stars unless the button breaks. If that happens, I'll edit this post to reflect that. But for now, it does its job and is a good deal since you receive two units.

Style: These fit the color scheme of a couple of our bottles perfectly. We really like the colors. Quality: I can't discern any noticeable difference between these and the lids that come with the Owala bottles. The native Owala lids aren't that great, to be honest. The springs wear on them pretty quickly. We use these bottles A LOT. I mean, we are never without water. Even if we are just jumping in the car to go pick up the kiddo from school, water bottle is going with us. So in terms of quality, these seem at least as good as the Owalas. Value: Overall, we are very happy with these lids. Getting two of them in a pack is a huge bonus, because sometimes they break or you lose one or something happens to one, and having a back up is a great bonus.
