Nintendo DS Lite Console Handheld System Black (Renewed)

Very satisfied works great

I ordered a Onyx Black (Color: Black) Nintendo DS Lite from Rock 30 Games based out of North Dakota via their online Amazon listings under the Nintendo DS Lite varieties. I had previously been fooled into thinking a DIFFERENT seller’s DS was refurbished, but ended up receiving a faulty unit. Upon receiving my order from Rock 30 Games, I was BLOWN AWAY by the fact I got an authentic OEM shell, buttons, GBA Slot cover, and no scratches on what I presume are new screens. Buttons and triggers were soft and clicky, like they should be. The screen calibration is great. The unit has some small scratches, but that’s only due to being loved I’m sure. Overall, amazing quality, and now I’m playing all the games I missed out on as a kid. [Don’t be fooled by other sellers saying “professionally refurbished”, and “unit has no scratches and looks perfect.”] (Ahem… a certain “Packaging” company…) _________________________ PLEASE choose Rock 30 Games, they stunned me, and I will be buying from them again. They know what they’re doing, and from my experience… they don’t do shortcuts!

looks almost good as new, a little yellowing on both screens but it's not really noticeable when playing games

It worked on arrival. Besides being put into a cheaper aftermarket shell it worked ok. Screens slightly yellowed but it happens with DS lites. However bother shoulder buttons were rattly. Its missing both of the shoulder buttons springs, after a day or so of use it started not turning on. I'm fairly handy so I opened it up to discover a few trash solder joints, one pictured is entirely broken and is just blobs touching. a broken ribbon cable connector and the insulator behind the touchscreen had shifter. Either way one or a combination of these issues have rendered it's no longer functional. 2/10 just buy one from a used game store or marketplace next time.

The Nintendo DS is a classic. Its dual screens, touchscreen features, and amazing game library (like Mario Kart DS and Pokémon) make it incredibly fun, even today. Great battery life, durable build, and backwards compatibility with GBA games make it a must-have for any gamer—new or nostalgic.

I was looking at some of the reviews after purchasing it and was worried I might have some of those issues but everything is perfect. It was like a brand new DS (some packaging but no original box). Stylus was there, touch screen was very slightly worn. Item was clean, everything felt normal. Very excited to revisit my old pokemon days! What a great nostalgic purchase.

Device looked nice, but card reader was iffy. Games would freeze up at times, and sometimes the system would just randomly turn off. Feel like the seller did not do the best job at refurbishing, by only focusing on physical appearance and not overall functionality.
