RP5, my new bestie
Great device! Excellent battery life. There is a bit of setup required to get it going, as far as emulators are concerned but I have been able to play everything up to PS2, GameCube, even some Switch titles (LEGALLY OF COURSE).... Runs Xbox Remote play with grace and a good internet connection. Steam games play wonderfully via Moonlight, and if you're brave and patient enough Gamehub works great too. Build quality is excellent, device feels solid and substantial. OLED screen is amazing and brings life to older games and newer alike. Buttons feel great, good quality push to them. Sticks are hall effect and feel good and not cheap or stubby. Plays android games of course via Google Play Store. One thing to be aware of, I have larger hands and they can get a little cramped with the device after awhile. I would suggest getting the case addon that extends handles out much like a controller, well worth the money.

Amazing device!
This device never leaves my side. Can play tons of games.. more games than I have the time to play.. but I try. Switch GameCube ps2 3ds and everything else in between. Watched a YouTube video to get it set up and now I’m hooked. The oled screen is amazing and the battery life is too. Had to buy the grip made a world of a difference. And a boomerang case to fit it.

Amazing device, one small (imo) drawback
I bought it a few weeks ago and honestly only have one complaint which ill adress at the end. For starters this thing is damn amazing at everything it does, and it does a lot, its so powerful you can play older pc games as well as older console and modern android games with some modern pc game ports, my favorites of that last category in specific are alien isolation and subnautica, both can and will run at 60fps smoothly when set to do so. The battery lasts for days on end when in lower gaming situations, and on high it will last an entire day damn near, i love this device. i dropped it accidentally and it bounced, it was outside and it fell out of my bag when traveling, absolutely took it like a champ, no cracked screen and it landed on it directly, not even a scratch, only a small scuff on the triggers and the palm rests, thats all. Amazing device super easy to use and customize i just wish it didnt restart itself every 30 seconds when the screen is just sitting off, sometimes ill have it sitting at a spot in a game that i wanted to save and it will restart without my consent, it doesnt do it often when games are active or background processes are running, its as if the device is restarting to make sure its still operational, unsure what that issue is caused from however that is honestly my only complaint, the rest is nothing but love and joy for this device, its amazing

Absolutely amazing, powerful, super portable handheld android emulation machine
Awesome android emulation console. Only comes with 128gb of storage, so a large micro sd card is recommended since the games you'll more than likely want to load onto this thing are quite big and the size can add up fast. The OLED screen is absolutely gorgeous and the device feels amazing in the hands. Retroid makes a grip for this handheld that makes it a little bigger, but supposedly improves the ergonomics by a ton. If I could improve one thing, it would be for the left stick to be above the d-pad instead of below it. It's a relatively small thing, but would make this device so much more comfortable for playing more modern games. Anyway, this thing is pretty powerful and can play games from any retro console up to the 6th gen, some games from a more modern console, Windows games through Winlator, and native android games. This thing is the perfect size for portability and you really just can't beat that screen. Totally recommended, but probably not for total beginners like one of the other reviewers who expected games to come preloaded.

Absolute best retro game console
I did a lot of research before hand and got this for a Xmas present for my teen. This is by far the most affordable and best quality retro game console. It’s actually consistently on top five list and considered a mid price but functions like a very top end system. It fits perfectly in my son’s large man sized hands comfortably. It sets up easily and is very sleek. It plays all his favorite games and he’s so happy! A big win for this mama!

Love it! I recommend for any emulator fan.
I love mine! It is Android based so if you already know Android OS, setup is just downloading your favorite emulator from the Play store and finding ROMs from websites using the Chrome browser. Because I am experienced, I was able to setup everything in about 5-10 minutes. The screen is very vibrant and the buttons feel and function well. It runs smoothly with no issues yet. If you're someone like me that likes grip in your palms, buy the extender/grip case for it. No issues with performance. It plays like a mini Nintendo Switch.

Beautiful device, I do recommend it. It just wasn’t for me.
By all rights this thing should have a five star rating from me. Because it’s a great little device, relatively comfortable to hold because it’s so lightweight. It has a beautiful screen. It does everything it says it should. But it just wasn’t for me. It does what it says perfectly, emulate games, I can play most android games everything I tried play fine, I even played around for a little bit with game native and was able to play some lower end steam games. That’s right, PC games on it. However, I think there’s too many other options. like my iPhone can emulate a lot of games and I already have it and I do have a Gamesir controller for it so it works just fine. I also have an Asus ally x which can emulate and play most of my PC library without a problem ( with some visual sacrifices) I understand this is more capable of an emulator than an iPhone is and I’m probably switching back to android next go round so I’ll have the same basic capabilities as a device like this. So I do actually recommend the retroid pocket 5, it just wasn’t for me, I ended up returning it after about a week. Just make sure you know why you’re getting it.

Honest and in depth review
The device can be a bit tricky to set up at first, especially if you're new to emulation or Android handhelds, but once you get everything dialed in, it is so worth it. Performance is solid across a wide range of systems, and the ability to tweak settings gives you a lot of control over how games run. Battery life is also pretty respectable as you can get around 10 hours on lighter systems like GBA or SNES, while more demanding emulation brings it closer to 3–4 hours. That range makes it versatile depending on how you use it. The size is another big win. With a 5.5-inch screen, it feels large enough to enjoy games comfortably, but still compact enough to stay portable. It hits a sweet spot between screen real estate and easy carry. Best part is, you do not feel the heat in the device while playing. Overall, the Retroid Pocket 5 is one of the best value handhelds out right now. It’s not perfect as there’s a learning curve and ergonomics could be better but if you’re willing to spend a little time setting it up, you’re getting a powerful, flexible, and highly portable gaming device for the price. If you want a budget and powerful device, this is for you. Specs: CPU: Snapdragon 865 RAM: 8GB LPDDR4 Internal Storage: 128GB (Expendable storage) Screen: AMOLED Battery: 5000 mAh System: Android 13

A Truly Amazing Handheld Console
This is a pretty pricey console. Fortunately part of my payment came from gift cards I've been saving up so it wasn't as expensive for me. It takes some fiddling to get this console to work but once you do it works great. I recommend looking up a guide to get it set up. I also advise anyone to have a micro sd card with them containing the largest memory available. Either 512GB or 1TB will do the trick. While I haven't use all of the features on it, the emulators I did try (PS1 and PSP) work just fine with no problems. If you can afford it, get it you won't be disappointed.

Excelente consola. Recomendada. Nota: no trae juegos, uno debe colocarle todos. Se puede conectar a la tele con un cable tipo-c a hdmi y colocar controles externos para multiplayer
