Awesome
I started with the 2.25gal but for my alone it was too big. I kept it because I like it and I might gift it. The 1gall is PERFECT for my needs. Am a regular tea drinker and drink lots of water all day. I used to do the Brita filter which I mention because I liked for the flavor but I got tired of refilling so often (I use filtered water for my daily teapot as well). This tastes just as good to me, if not better, fresher. The viewing window is great. The 1 gall stand is 5.5" high, enough to slide my coffee maker pot underneath each morning (that's how I make my tea). The 2.25 gall stand is 6" tall and quite a bit wider. The single filter is rated at 5000gall; it's shorter but wider than the 2.25gall which has two filters rated at 3000gall each. I'm good for a while even with the 1 gall filter!! No leaks or drips anywhere, you get a choice of spigot, black plastic or metal. Tools included. To purge the filter before use, you have to assemble as explained and then push the filter with the washer against your faucet, you can't just hold it below, you have to create a vaccuum and almost immediately the water comes out the filter and you see the excess carbon. After than just run one container full through it before drinking. I couldn't be happier with the quality AND the price. Seriously.

Clean water but holds less than rated for due to filter displacement.
Easily cleaned and primed for use. Filtration works well and is noticeably better tasting than the tap water it filters. We even use this water for our plants and they respond really well to it. Just be aware that the filters in the lower section take up a lot of displacement, so it will actually hold less than it’s rated for. Other than that, it’s easy to setup and it’s already saving us a lot of money over buying bottled water every week.

Generous introduction to gravity water purification system
Considering all of the parts included in this package, it is a very good value compared to some of the other counter top gravity water purification systems on the market. However, for us, it has some positive and negative values. The fact that it comes with a stand and two different styled spigots and tools to put the whole thing together is great! The stainless steel body is lovely looking and even comes with a rubber like ring to attach to the bottom to reduce any sliding. All of the items included are of good quality and well thought out for convenience and usability. It is our first time using a gravity water purifier and my husband and I had it put together fairly quickly with the exception of priming the two water filters under the sink faucet. We’re still not sure if we got it right. After set up, our impression of the filtered water is as follows: 1. I have been drinking bottled spring water for years so the taste of this filtered water is a little disappointing. It tastes better than our tap water but tends to taste very flat. If you have experienced drinking hard water, it is that kind of taste we are getting. Ours is city water so who knows what is in it. 2. We installed the included metal spigot that came with the whole set up rather than the plastic one. The metal one does not leak but after you use it a small drop of water eventually drops out. I have taken to leaving a small cup underneath to catch that little drop(s). This is not a big deal for us but worth mentioning. I had high hopes this system would help to replace our bottled water usage and will keep using it in order to see if we can adjust to the taste of the water or if maybe trying different filters make a difference in the taste. For cooking or tea making it is fine but I drink a lot of plain water and after so many years of drinking bottled spring water have gotten kind of picky about how water tastes!

Wonderful Water Filter for Families on a Budget!
I moved into a new rental in October, 2023. Within the first month, I realized my skin and hair felt gross. I was getting breakouts on my face, my hair was getting super oily, even after washing it, and my skin felt really dry and itchy. I have a tabletop ice maker, which I've always filled with tap water. After moving here, I noticed a weird slimy film in the water reservoir. I decided the water here is filled with something that's not good. I immediately bought a filter for my shower and within two showers, the difference was absolutely astonishing. Then I started buying and drinking only bottled water. I even gave my cats and dogs purified water that I bought, ten gallons at a time. In short, I've spent a LOT of money on water. Last summer, I joined a preping group on Facebook and I noticed a lot of people were talking about water filtration systems. Curious, I went on a hunt for information. I compared quality, price, convenience, aesthetic, etc. I finally landed on this Purewell water filtration system. The system arrived quickly and in good shape. It was super easy to put it together. Basically, all I had to do was choose a spigot (it comes with a metal one and a plastic one) and attach it, then install the filter. Within ten minutes of the system arriving, I was filtering water. My system holds a little over two gallons at a time. Between the amount I drink and use to cook with, refilling my water bottles (pictured here), and the amount I use to fill my pet fountains every day, I fill my system about three times a day. At this point, I've had the filter set up for almost four weeks. Since then, I have noticed my coffee and teas taste better, and the water tastes so good, I've been drinking about a gallon a day! Even better: I have spent zero money on bottled or gallons of water since I got my Purewell! It's quickly paying for itself. I highly recommend this water filtration system for you and your family!

I measured and timed the outflow...
I bought the 1 gallon Purewell gravity filter. The assembly directions were meh, but it was pretty simple to put together. Nothing leaks after several uses. At first, I didn't think the filter was working. It's VERY slow to start. Drip...drip...drip. Took all day. By the 3rd full cycle, however, it was much better. A thin but mostly continuous drizzle. And it tasted good. No funky taste or odors. On cycle 4, I measured and timed the outflow. I filled the top chamber with a full gallon (4 quarts). It gets right to the top, but it does all fit. After one hour, I was able to dispense 6 cups of water (1 1/2 quarts). I had to tilt it a bit to top off that sixth cup. After a second hour, I was able to dispense about 5 and 2/3 cups of water, tilting again. So it does slow as the weight of the water pressing down on top lessens. The third hour, the flow pretty much stopped, so I went to bed. The next morning, there was very little to dispense. About 1/3 cup. 2 cups remained in the top chamber that never flowed through. And 2 cups remained in the bottom chamber below the spout, even after tilting. So the output is 3 quarts per cycle. My conclusion: 6 cups an hour is plenty for myself and my husband while we're camping. We'll just have to refill the top chamber a few times a day. The filter's size is ideal for packing, and it appears to work well. I recommend running a few cycles through PRIOR to camping or you'll be thirsty that first day!

Happy with purchase
I spent time comparing the different companies before buying this one. I'm very happy with it. Took me a bit of time to understand how and manage to prepare the cartridges (the tap I have in kitchen is not optimum for it so had to use a different one). The water tastes better than the filtering jug I had. I fill it once a day. The stand makes a huge difference as well.

Highly recommend.
This unit is great, I had the Harley system prior but needed to replace it. I do wish this system came with an option for an even bigger tank but it works really well and the Window on the front has been more useful than I would have figured prior. Although the filters specifically don’t rank as high as the Berkey, they are close upon deep review. You can swap to whatever filters you want when it’s time to replace them after the first year ish.
