Can This be added to my wood lateral file cabinet that has no lock @ present?

I have hon 4-drawer file cabinets (drawers are stacked vertically). Each has oval knockouts to accept a lock. How do i know if this is compatible?

The lateral file cabinet lock will not work on your vertical cabinet. If you can provide the length and width of the punch out hole we can determine the correct replacement lock for you.

Exact replacement for the Hon lock, directions would have had helped as I had to go to tube for them. Woks great and a good value.

Horrible, does not work

This lock doesn't work at all. The plastic piece which is supposed to lock the cabinet fell off when I tried to lock it. Don't buy it!!!!!
