After about 20 years, our big-brand toaster broker. Most of the big-brand models cost over $100, and many over $200. That felt ridiculous for a device that basically just heats up coils. My spouse and I decided to try the Bella and it's great. At the time of this review, it cost $35. We got the 4 slice Oatmeal colored one. Looks great in our kitchen and pretty much works just like our old one. A few notes for those that are interested: - Has no bell to indicate it's done. That didn't bother us - especially if the other person is sleeping. - No digital display. The temp control is an old school knob that articulates very nicely. It took us a moment to get used to this because from a distance with our old toaster, we could see the temp setting and make corrections if we forgot to set it how we like it. Easy adjustment for us to make. - It has a removable crumb tray. This is important to us because we beat our toasters up by putting all kinds of foods into it which sends crumbles to the bottom all the time. - It doesn't have a "lift to look" feature...we kind of miss that but it's an easy adjustment for us to make. - Looks great - we do like having a little style / design in our kitchen. It looks like an up-scale product. - Very light-weight. We move it each time to a storage area (i.e. don't let it sit on the counter all the time). I love this toaster. It fits wider breads perfectly, toasts evenly, and delivers consistent results every time. My wife and I also love the look. It does not have many extra features, but for simple defrosting and toasting, it is a great option. It also feels very well built.

When researching toasters, I kept reading reviews about how cute a toaster is. Who cares? I want a toaster that will evenly toast bread on the entire surface and on both sides of the bread. The Bella toaster is the best I have found. When toasting two pieces of standard shaped bread, I put one slice in each slot and I put them in the middle of the slot as shown in photo 1. I think this helps with toasting evenly. In the 2nd photo, I have the toaster set to 4.25. You can see the results in photos 3 and 4. Photo 3 is one side and photo 4 is the other side of the toast. In photo 5, I toasted Italian bread on a setting of 4.5. This resulted in burnt edges so next time I will lower the setting for this type of bread. Photo 6 shows the other side of the toast. Overall, I think the Bella is a top notch toaster. And the best part of this toaster? It’s cute.

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. I’ve owned this toaster for all of 20 minutes and it was dead on arrival. Sure, it looks nice but that’s about it. I put the toaster in the garage for the first few runs, following the instructions in the manual to run a few cycles before toasting bread. That probably should have been the first red flag; why couldn’t this “excess material”, which causes extremely unpleasant chemical odors, have been burned off during manufacturing? I immediately noticed that the inner heating elements refused to get warm, and a few of the elements on the outer walls had gaps in the heating as well. I figured I’d give it a few runs to see if they’d start to get warm, but they never did. I tried out the bagel and defrost settings to see if that would help - it didn’t. The biggest issue I noticed is that about half of the time the handle is pushed down and 100% of the time the cancel button is pushed or the cycle finishes, bright electrical sparks emit near the contacts and spread throughout the inside of the toaster. I am returning this product and not buying from this company in the future. What is the purpose of a “QC Pass” sticker if an extremely obvious flaw was missed in the process? I’m not setting my house on fire over a $40 toaster.

What many say is true. It does not toast evenly. However, the difference is not a deal breaker. You do have to learn what settings to use for the bread type to meet your preferences. The settings dial has tactile clicks between the numbers on the dial, so you can really fine tune it to your preference. We needed a toaster this slime to in a narrow space next to a toaster oven (which also toasts unevenly and slowly).

This is now my favorite toaster. The color is gorgeous and works better than my previous toaster lol. I love that it's slim. It helps make room in an apartment. Temperature is easy to use. Browns nicely too

Works great. Old one gave out.... It has 2 setting warmed & carbon. This Bella is wonderful. Is really does well at various levels of toasting. With the large slots, I can put the Oversized Shepherds sourdough on now & toast or without have to cut each piece o Into 3 little pieces. Wife love the bagel setting to just toast one size of a bagel too.

This toaster is fantastic. Works great, and love the idea of having two long slots for flexible options. Looks great on the counter top too

A bit expensive for what it is but i love the look. So far it toasting!!

It’s slim for sure and I like the color, but I find it quite slow. And when you want to adjust the darkness levels you have to totally rotate the toaster away from the wall in order to see dial.
