Versatile USB Power Meter: Accurate Measurements with Enhanced Features, but with One Minor Quirk
This USB power meter is very versatile, allowing me to test voltage and current in USB connections. It can measure voltage from 3 to 20V DC and current from 0.05 to 3A (USB-A) or 0.05 to 5A (USB-C). This wide range covers most standard USB ports, including Qualcomm Quick Charge ports. With it, I can measure and display important information such as USB port voltage, current, capacity, energy, and resistance, providing valuable insight into my USB power usage on various devices. My only minor gripe is that the meter instantly shuts off after a low current draw or power cycle, rather than retaining the data. It would be more convenient if it saved the last reading for a short period. It's important to note that USB Type-C connections operate with efficiency and safety in mind, meaning that the charger will only supply power when it detects a device connected to the other end. If no device is connected, the power meter will not power up as it doesn't receive any power from the charger. This feature prevents unnecessary power wastage and reduces potential electrical hazards. --- Product: Klein Tools ET920 USB Power Meter, USB-A and USB-C Digital Meter for Voltage, Current, Capacity, Energy and Resistance ASIN: B07GXZHPVR

Well built (Vietnam) and accurate tool
One of the better USB testers on the market

Pretty good little device.
Works well and useful for testing all mobile devices and charging sockets/cables. Happy with this unit, but I do use lots of mobile devices and recharge gear, and testing optimum recharging solutions is important to me. Not for everyone.

works. seems accurate too.
it works. and it really helps see issues.

Excellent design with a couple of leads for USB-A and USB-C, bright backlight
Absolutely terrific, was able to measure a couple of USB-C wall chargers that were not rated as specified! Saved me a ton of $$s already. Thank you to the other reviewers who pointed out that the USB-C needs to have load on it prior to connecting the input to the power providing charger. USB-A is automatic. In any case, works well. The only thing I would ask is if it can also provide Watts on the display! (it does provide mAH and wH, for watts, have to just multiply Volts x Amps). A bit expensive, but well worth the ease of use. Highly recommend.

Nice and Simple
What's different about this one (the USB-A Tester and Meter), is that it has the tester built in. I haven't really come across any USB power meters that have that feature. Either that or I have, and they were just too complex for me to realize that they did. What I would really like to see though, is something that's just like the power meter that has a USB-A and a USB-C output and input, and that also has a tester like this one does. As far as basic testing of what devices are charging at though, this tester and power meter works quite well, in my opinion.

works great, USB-C and USB-A all work good, saves time, easy to use
the Klein Tools ET920 USB Power Meter, USB-C and USB-A Digital Meter for Voltage, Current, watts, resistance all work great, just plug it in look at the screen, very easy to use. the graphics are not great but work with no problems, so many review say the USB-C does not work, the USB-C will not work on apple dc power USB-C device do to apple non standard USB-C dc power wiring the klein meter will not work, also the meter has usb input and output that must be correct or meter will not work properly. USB-C works fine with the standard USB-C DC Power wiring. Film and TV Engineering for 25 years.

Simple to use, works well
Helped diagnose a problem with a Wi-Fi hotspot. Turns out, it expected 12V, instead of the normal 5V.

Since this is the second one and it still does not work, I feel it is something other than this device. Please take or send it back and purchase another manufactures similar item." Non mi vedrà più come cliente.

This Simple and Logical to use, brilliant bit of kit, allows you to check and confirm the output values (Voltage, Current, Capacity, Energy and Resistance) of USB A and USB C charging ports, whether that be USB Wall Sockets, USB Chargers or Battery Power Banks. The ET920 unit is a little smaller than I expected, being slightly smaller than a Credit Card and if it were just a cm or two longer and wider, it would be ideal but it's not the end of the world. The unit is robustly made, the screen is well lit and all data is clearly legible and accurate, albeit some a tad small. The attached input cables are a little stiff and if the USB Socket is 'the wrong way up' (if that makes sense), you have to twist the cable to be able to view the screen but I'd rather that, than suffer flimsy cables and the pluses outweigh the negatives. It does have its limitations, in that firstly, you cannot cross the cables i.e. USB A Input must be used with USB A Output (not USB C). Secondly and this could be a Major Issue for some users, if the Input Charge stops, due to, for example, a low input voltage value, which would happen if the device attached to the output port has become fully charged, the displayed values are NOT stored on the device and are therefore lost. Conclusion: To date, I'm impresses and Well Pleased with my purchase. It could be better but..... I'll update this review if necessary but to date, Highly Recommended!
