This pot makes the best coffee. I do have to add the flat round filters to the ground basket to keep grounds from flowing into bottom of pot. If you can find coarse ground coffee may not need. Brews quickly. Is NOT auto shut off.

Very nicely made wish they had the wood handle for the 12 cup instead of plastic like they do for smaller cups 6/8. Hope the perculator glass topper will last as I see they are out of them on often on their site unless you by 1 for $12+. Will see if the 4 pack is seen if another brand will fot by the dimesions.comp Be careful as it does get hot on outside. Using filters instead of brewing w/o makes less cofee ground in coffee. Coffee is smooth may have to brew 2x if you like stronger but overall good and old school all parts nontoxic except handle ( plastic) good buy will see how long it last.

Perfect for my desk at work since we don’t have an office coffee maker, Most folks have drip makers or the machines with disposable cups but I detest them. Keeps my coffee hot. Easy to clean. Works well.

Update: After just a month and a few days, this percolator died. Flat out didn’t perk. I really loved the coffee that came out of it, and even more the nostalgia factor. I won’t lie. I am so tempted to try again but the risk seems a little more than I want. I wish I had been one of the lucky purchasers. There is a coated surface over the heating element which is not metal, unfortunately. However, after a good deal of searching, it had the least non metal of the electric units. The coffee is hot and I can’t deny that I really love the glass top knob that allows you to see the coffee perking. A very pretty appliance and the coffee comes out great.

Excellent Percolator! Quality Materials used, longer Cord than our other percolator, makes it quite comfortable & convenient to lift off the base/cord and pour easily! Then just return to base to keep warm. Only once did I forget to use the on/off switch, which is new to me, but totally ok! And a lot Hotter Brew also!

We wanted to reduce our use of plastics and bought this percolator to replace our old coffee maker. We've been very happy with its performance and the coffee brewed tastes very good. A little more trouble to clean the grounds but have found if you remove the basket and let the grounds dry a bit, its easier to clean.
