Tripod Collar Mount Ring for NIKON AF-S 80-200mm f/2.8D F2.8 D Zoom Lens Camera

I am very happy with this tripod collar mount. The very weak screw socket at the base of my camera broke. The plastic casing that surrounds the screw mount snapped and meant that when connected to my tripod there was a lot of wobble. I discovered that I what I needed was a collar mount to securely attach my camera to my tripod. This collar mount supports my camera in a strong and secure way and easily screws to my tripod. It is made of metal. As other reviewers have stated, it fits the P900 but the camera can easily slide out of it. Again, as others suggested, a lining of the 'brush' side of sticky velcose fits beautifully and prevents the camera from sliding out. I would definitely reccommend this to solve what seems to be a common weakness in the P900 construction.

This a good product it gives a firm sturdy balance to the P900 camara. You will need to add a few strips of velcro to make it a tight fit. Overhaul a well built collar for a good price

Actually purchased this to fit on a Nikon P900 and I knew it wasn't quite the correct fit, but with a little Velcro strip around the inner part of the ring this collar now supports my camera on the tripod perfectly well. Seems good strong quality.

I treated myself to a nikon super zoom camera, with the extra length of the zoom lens the tripod Mount isn't man enough so the tripod collar mount ring is perfect for the job although you do need to line the inside of the lens holder to grip the lens, A very good build and great value for money.

As so many P900 owners, I was in despair about using a tripod, but this works AMAZINGLY well with a bit of Velcro tape. This parakeet was about 7 metres away, on a swaying branch, but the camera was pretty solid on the tripod at full zoom, thanks to the adapter ring

Solidly built. It fits and supports the Nikon P900 camera lens. I put soft velcro inside the ring to provide a snugger fit and protect the camera from being scratched or damaged. The item was not very packaged, and so I received the mount ring with small chips or Mark's on the the black finish which is a shame!

Bought this for the Nikon P900, which has a badly designed tripod mount. Together with a strip of velcro this attached snugly to the camera and makes for a safe and sturdy attachment to the Nikon P900.
