Review: The Talon 22 transfers the weight of your sack contents to your legs. - It is more comfortable than daysacks without hip belts. The hip belts transfer the weight of the contents onto the legs, the strongest muscles in the body. It definitely helps take pressure off the back. The ability to adjust the back means the transfer of weight to the hips is more precise and personalised than sacks with a one size fits all limitation. The airscape ventilation sat the back means less sweat and more airflow to your back that keeps it cooler than other daysacks. The bag is light with padded shoulder and hip straps that mean the straps do not cut into your body.

Nice pack
Good size , plenty pockets , easily adjusted to suit , very comfortable pack, do not understand why it’s not waterproof, I bought the lightweight 33l rollsack , for inside the pack to keep my kit dry , I feel this should come as standard, as I don’t like the waterproof cover.

LOVIN' IT SO FAR!
My 4th backpack from various manufacturers, which usually get a battering climbing all over the UK, Europe, Kilimanjaro etc. So far it is the most comfortable and has the best array of pockets and features. Time will tell how it survives the rigours of use, but I am positive it will do well so far.

It's a bridge pack, small enough to go about work or up a hill for two days.
Loads of reviews on this already. Loads of complaints about the lack of waterproofing, outdoor packs are never waterproof so it's moot. You're choosing between a rain over to stop it getting wet or getting dry bags for the inside. The pack is perfectly suited for lightweight fast packing with all tents* and through hiking though if that's the plan the 44 model might be better with it's pad straps on the bottom. This one has the water bladder pouch on the outside of the pack between it and the back frame so refilling is less of a pain in the backside *I managed a Nortent Vern2 with the poles on the outside, a nortent torv7 sleeping pad in the top flap pouchand a Rab ascent 700 sleeping bag, tent clothes, toaks mug, trangia triangle and stove, a 3l water bladder, a nalgene 1l water bottle on the side and snacks, dehydrated food in the front pouch and my waterproof under the top flap. It all went, perhaps straining under tension but it went. I should have gone for the Nortent Vern2 or something smaller and it's really a job for the Talon 44 but live and learn.

My husband LOVES this backpack, it's bigger than the Talon 22, and he can carry lunches, jackets, and trekking poles for the whole family :). He let me try it and it's very light and comfortable as well. I personally like the way that the Talon 22 opens, the zipper goes over the top, while for this pack, you stuff it like you do the bigger multi-day hiking backpacks, but that is my only small criticism--that said, my husband doesn't mind it at all.
