As pasty northern redhead I've learned the hard way not to cheap-out on sun protection - the Bioré Aqua Rich UV SPF50 range is expensive but worth every penny. I discovered this stuff on holiday in Japan a few years ago and since then I've bought a 60ml bottle of face mist and 50ml tube of sun cream every year. I apply the cream in the morning instead of a moisturiser and I keep the mist bottle in my handbag to add a fresh layer of protection in the afternoon. The mist is light enough to spray on my face over makeup and be left to evaporate/dry - but it can also be sprayed into my hands and rubbed onto skin like a traditional lotion.

If, like me, you have sensitive skin please, please do not buy this. I lightly misted my face for the first time and my skin reacted almost immediately, breaking out in red rash-like blotches. The instructions advise that you tightly close your eyes, which I did, but my eyelids swelled up with a red, itchy rash, underneath my eyes reacted in the same way. The alcohol content is too high. The cream version is much better.

I’ve loved the original Bioré Aqua Rich SPF in the tube—it’s lightweight, non-irritating, and perfect under makeup. So I had high hopes for this mist version. Sadly, it’s awful. The alcohol content is overwhelming. It stings my eyes even though I’m careful with application, and I’ve ended up coughing from the intensity of the fumes which is frankly ridiculous for a facial mist. I was expecting a convenient reapplication option, but this has been anything but. I’m now contacting Amazon to see if I can return it. Really disappointed, especially coming from a brand I usually trust.

Easy to use but found the smell a bit overpowering

I have been using this Bioré Face Mist for a few weeks and really like it. It sprays evenly, dries quickly and leaves no white marks on my skin. It feels light and fresh, even when layered over makeup. The bottle is small enough to keep in my bag for quick touch ups during the day. It does have a light scent, but nothing too strong. Overall, an easy and reliable SPF to use every day.

I've seen good reviews of this stuff but I really can't understand why. I bought the lotion and this as a set. The lotion is fine but this one is really not nice to use. In the instructions they recommend spraying into your hand and then rubbing it on your face, so why does it have a spray format at all if that's what they recommend doing? When you do spray it directly onto your face, it's uncomfortable, because it's strongly alcoholic and it made my eyes sting. It's also really unpleasant to get it on your lips because it has a strong taste. This feels very chemically and unpleasant and it is oily so I don't know why the advertising blurb is so inaccurate for this product. I think I will finish using it up on arms and legs because I really don't recommend this for the face. I've used lots of different Korean SPF products and this is the worst.
