Hi, does this integrate with their bosch worcester wave boiler controller and actually control the heating or is it just an $$ trv control system ?

These TRV's are not compatible with the Wave controller, they can only be controlled with the Easy controller.

Will this system replace my nest thermostat or can I have both?

Can I install myself or need a heating engineer i have a Bosch combi boiler.

The installation process is very simple only connect cables and follow instructions on the screen. The controller will communicate with the devices and control the valves. I haven't connected my system to the boiler but I can imagine that the difficulty will rely on how old the boiler is, if the boiler is connected to the wifi, the controller will discover it by itself. If the boiler is old, you might need another device that acts as a bridge between the boiler and the controller (like nest). The advantage of communicating with the boiler is that you won't need a room thermostat and any single radiator valve will be able to switch the boiler on through the climate controller. If the boiler is old you might need to do some research or hire someone to do this part, but you could do the rest by yourself at the system will work well but not optimal.
