Yes, it's hard to spread, no it's not designed for your gaming rig but if properly and patiently applied you will see benefits even if slight. This stuff is top notch for Server grade CPUs along with High End Mobile Workstation laptops. You can actually smell the moisture contents burning off and sealing that CPU to the cooler. Honestly you can use this stuff for about anything if you are patient enough to apply it. Time will tell but it seems on par with HP high end factory paste. I'm expecting 3-5 years solid performance which covers enterprise.

Here's a tip to make spreading this thermal paste WAY easier- just put it in your pants pocket for 10-15 minutes. Your body heat will warm up it up just enough to make it easy to spread. I went down a rabbit hole of researching different thermal pastes after my Arctic MX-4 pumped out super early. I decided on Thermal Grizzly after watching the videos of their factory and hearing the CEO's passion for cooling products, which made me feel better about buying it. Nothing beats a product made with love. Once it arrived, I loved the amount of different applicators available in the package- even for the 2 gram size. It was easy to apply after leaving it in my pocket for 10 minutes to warm up and spread well. Even then, I found the paste to be surprisingly thick and requiring a lot of pressure and careful spreading with the spatula to get a good coating. After applying, I was slightly underwhelmed with the temperatures. However, after about a month of use, I noticed something "kick in" and temperatures decreased a couple degrees. This paste seems to do the best for me under larger thermal loads (e.g. stress testing and benchmarking)- where I saw almost a 4 degree C improvement using Duronaut compared to MX-4. 2 months in, I'm super happy with the decision. I'm excited to see how the performance keeps up through the 6-8 month mark and what the longevity is like. Duronaut (and the rest of Thermal Grizzly's paste lineup) are premium products that might not get you the best value for money, but in my mind, the performance and passion that went into this product more than justify the premium paid for it. I will support TG over a big box brand any day, and in that sense, value for money is excellent. 2 grams is also plenty enough for multiple on multiple applications, and I'm happy with this product.

This is not a "simple smear" type of paste; you'll need to work with it. Ultimately, the Thermal Grizzly Duronaut is a premium product with a trade-off. If you are comfortable with a challenging application process and value exceptional thermal performance above all else, this is a fantastic choice. The stable and low temperatures it provides are well worth the initial struggle with spreading the paste. But if you're a beginner or prefer a more user-friendly, forgiving application, you might want to look elsewhere.

Ive always taken amazing care of my computers equipment. Always replacing paste every 3 years and cleaning every 3 months. Ive used kryonought in the past with outstanding results. This paste gave me more FPS and made the fans silent even with my ear against the case. Very easy to spread in comparison to other less thick paste. Just pull slow and its perfect. The last time I used grizzly I replaced the paste after 3 years and it didn't seem to need replacement. Exited to see just how long It can go. Ive heard ot last 5-8 years. That was the kryonought. Ive just purchased the duronought.

Amazing results! I have been overclocking my GPU since years for max performance and by far this is the best non-metallic thermal paste I have ever used. The results were surprisingly fantastic. RESULTS: I used it on CPU and GPU for my laptop and the CPU temperatures went down by 30 deg Celsius and GPU by 35 deg Celsius. Before the application my laptop would turn up the fans pretty loud right after boot up. But now it is dramatically silent. Even when playing games like RDR2 the GPU temperature doesn't go above 65 deg Celsius. I overclocked my GPU to max (+205 core clock, +450 Mem clock) and the GPU remains below 65 deg C and CPU remains below 78 deg C. APPLICATION: It is more viscous and much harder to apply as it is more viscous but not too difficult. The trick is to not over do it while moving the spatula or the smooth surface starts to break up. It's worth the price. And I still have enough to reapply when it's needed. I would highly recommend this product.

Good thermal paste but will not spread with spatula just sticks to it. I will not buy it again and when I have to repaste ill go back to thermal grizzly kryonaut because this stuff was a nightmare to try and apply.

We wanted a product with a reported high coefficient of thermal transfer and long lasting. The only issue we have with it is that it is very sticky and we had problems controlling the amount of paste that came out of the tube and getting it on to the CPU. If your method of application is to spread it on the CPU as opposed to other techniques it may be difficult. We found that the best method is to place dots of it on the four corners and one in the middle of the CPU. It is performing as we expected. We give it four stars only because of how difficult it was to work with for us, which may have been us as opposed to the product itself because we do not have much experience applying thermal paste.

This and the Arctic MX-6 are the best performing thermal paste as of right now. But just like the MX-6, it is very hard to spread this thermal paste yourself (I tried myself and it was pretty annoying). You're better off using the contact pressure of the cpu cooler to spread the paste.

J’ai utilisé cette pâte thermique Thermal Grizzly pour remplacer celle de mon processeur, et je dois dire que je suis bluffé par les résultats. Les températures ont baissé de 8 à 10 °C par rapport à ma pâte précédente (une pâte standard), ce qui est un gain non négligeable pour le refroidissement et la longévité du CPU. La pâte est facile à appliquer (ni trop liquide ni trop épaisse), et le packaging est bien pensé, avec une seringue précise et parfois même une spatule fournie selon le modèle. C’est un produit haut de gamme, parfait pour les overclockers ou ceux qui veulent tirer le meilleur de leur système. Un peu plus cher que d'autres marques, mais la qualité est au rendez-vous. Je recommande sans hésiter !
