These are hands-down the best mechanical pencils I’ve ever used. The triangular grip is a total game changer — super comfortable, easy to hold, and perfect for longer writing sessions without hand fatigue. The thicker 1.3mm lead writes smoothly, doesn’t snap constantly, and is ideal for both kids and adults. I especially love how forgiving they are for handwriting. They’re great for anyone who struggles with fine motor control, grip strength, or just prefers a sturdier pencil (hello dyslexia/ADHD-friendly design 🙌). The erasers actually work well, and the refills are a nice bonus. Durable, comfortable, smooth-writing, and affordable — there’s a reason I’ve purchased these multiple times. If you’re on the fence, just get them. You won’t go back to regular mechanical pencils after this.

Absolutely love these pencils. They write smoothly and the eraser erases pretty well. Thick pencil is good for my larger hands. Also love the thicker lead. It has yet to break on me.

The lowly pencil doesn't get much love anymore, but I'm old school (well, perhaps I'm just "old") and I like to use pencils for crossword puzzles and word searches because those tasks occasionally require some occasional erasing. I generally employ wood pencils for my paper puzzling but found myself recently without one at the ready so I decided to deviate a bit from my usual habits and try this Paper Mate Triangular Mechanical pencil instead. I wasn't confident about my purchase initially, as my past track record with mechanical pencils has not been good, but these turned into a very pleasant purchase. First off the lead is satisfyingly thick. So often you find plastic mechanical pencils are equipped with the sharpest, thinnest lead, such that even a minute amount of pressure either results in breaking the lead, and/or puncturing the paper. Not so with these. They write as nicely as my trusty vintage Ticonderoga or my reliable Mongol, with a smooth, dark and responsive lead. The Paper Mates are a delight to hold and very comfortable in my hand. These are bargain priced and absolutely worth every penny. Will I switch to these permanently? I'm not sure as I do like my wood pencils, but they are the nicest mechanical pencils I've ever encountered.

We use these pencils in our homeschool and my children love writing with them. They have a thicker lead and don’t break easily. The pencil itself is shaped nicely for learning how to hold a pencil. Fun colors for everyone and a great value. Haven’t had to refill yet, since the lead lasts so long, but it’s easy to do so and comes with extra lead. Suitable for my children aged 2-12.

If you have students where you cannot read their handwriting because it is too light these are the best pencils and the lead lasts a long time. It is the perfect with the triangular grip. Finding it for this price with this many pencils was perfect.!

I like the larger size. Easy grip for anyone. Extra lead. The eraser doesn’t erase well at first, but after you break them in and get the outer layer off, they erase good. Good for kids who have trouble gripping the thinner #2 pencils. The lead is thick and does not break easily! Good buy.

These lead pencils are great for people who constantly break the lead on mechanical pencils, like me! The barrel is wider and in a slight rectangular shape making the product much easier to grip. The lead is thicker so that means stronger to me, a person who was constantly breaking the lead. I highly recommend this product.

Exactly what I wanted. I think these are targeted for young children, but I really liked it because the other mechanical pencils that you find in the drugstore have very thin lead that snaps so I spend more time clicking the lead and running through it than actually writing. It's so annoying. Actually stopped buying those pencils but this one is great because the led is so thick it doesn't break. It's not a fine point but at least I know I'm not throwing lead out. The eraser is also really thick and lasts long I will be buying again. Submitted the prior type of mechanical pencil with the one I just purchased for point of reference.

These pencils are good for all ages. I like the thickness of the lead and that they are not easy to break. The colours are fantastic and the erasers work well. Comes with additional leads also.

These are the best pencils for students. Lead is super hard to break, they promote proper grip, and they come with eraser replacements. I LOVE THEM.
