I’ve had this WDT for over a year now and it is great quality. Very easy to use, I love the stand it comes with. Pricey but, worth it for elevating your espresso making game. It’s sleek and looks great with the rest of my set up.

I'm not sure I buy into the absolute need for WDT, a distributor/tamp does the job pretty well. With that said, I have noticed a more consistent pull between shots on my Breville espresso machine. I often get a very different result from pull to pull. This gadget is easy to assemble, works well, and includes spare needles. I was hesitant to buy any sort of WDT tool simply because they don't seem worth the price, but this one felt like a good enough bang for the buck, and it's actually a nice object in general. Go for it!

So glad I splurged a bit and got the one I saw recommended all over Reddit! Perfect size and such high quality. I love that it's a pretty weighty metal handle and stand - really feels like it'll last forever.

Tried to ‘save’ money with a cheaper tool but after using this I quickly realized what a nice functioning tool this is. Option for 2 different gauge needles are included. Solid buy!

This WDT tool действительно makes a noticeable difference. Espresso extraction is more even, fewer clumps, better consistency—the tool clearly does what it’s supposed to do, and it improves shot quality in a meaningful way. However, on the second day of use, one needle fell out on its own while the tool was just sitting in the holder. After that, the needle no longer stays in the socket, and even a brand-new spare needle does not hold in that same hole. This appears to be a manufacturing defect of one socket, not user error. I’ve requested a replacement and am currently waiting for it. Aside from this defect, the tool itself is excellent.

As long as you are gentle with it, this tool is great. It is lightweight, small, does not clump up the coffee but actually does a great job sifting through the grinds to distribute them well. Easy to use, and the handle has been very durable.

No no no no. Followed the installation video. First of all, the cap on the tool is tightened beyond belief. Like, 20+ minutes, multiple pliers, multiple rubber discs for traction, and even then I scratched the hell out of the nice bronze finish in many places. It's *THAT* tight - as evidenced by YouTube comments on the Normcore installation video. Ok, a half hour of cussing and frustration later, with a beat-to-hell handle, I put the needles in per instructions. They fall out easily. I'm returning this junk immediately and my opinion of Normcore just fell dramatically. Buyer beware! 👎👎

I have nothing negative to say. The needle size is so much better than the 0.5 I have . The walnut finish is beautiful. Easy on the hands to use. Sturdy quality finish.

Defective out of the box. Several needles were loose due to poor manufacturing. I had to fix them myself using glue just to make the tool usable. That alone makes it unacceptable at this price point. Build quality does not match the brand reputation. This is not a minor issue — it directly affects performance and consistency in puck preparation. If you’re serious about espresso, avoid this model. There are more reliable WDT tools on the market that don’t require DIY fixes.

もっと早く買っておけば良かったです。これまで小さいフォークで粉の塊をほぐしていましたが、所々に小さな塊が残っていたようで、エスプレッソがうまく抽出できない時がありました。このツールを使うと隅々まで満遍なくほぐすことができ、ふわっふわの粉になりました。エスプレッソマシンで抽出するとその違いは一目瞭然で、クレマたっぷりの均一なエスプレッソが出るようになりました。ニードルが放射線状に広がってるので、ひとかきで全体をほぐすことができ時短にも繋がります。ニードルを本体にセットするのも簡単でした。一番最初にこれを買っておけば良かったと後悔しています。
