Awesome piece.
Must be assembled correctly. The reason the bow is breaking is the fact the instructs do not tell one how to assemble the bow. The bow has two white lines on it showing center. On assembly super glue one rubber on the back between the white lines the other on front, these are isolators that keep the fiberglass off the metal. The metal piece with the dimple in it goes in between the bow and the set screw with the dimple centering the set screw. If you take the set screw out and match it with the LOAD spreader you will find the screw sits perfect. The metal LOAD spreader distributes pressure across one inch of the fiberglass bow, the isolators allow the bow to flex. If assembled without the metal LOAD spreader the set screw only applies pressure to a 1/16 part of the fiberglass which in turn will cause the fiberglass way too much stress on that tiny point and the bow will snap!!!!! Same as snapping a pencil in half or walking on your toes instead of the bottom of your foot. Assembled correctly this piece is deadly. The aluminum bolts that come with it are very strong. Having tested them on a brick (split it in half) a cinder block (almost went thru) a glass block (destroyed it) This thing is no TOY. Done at short range Without using sights was able to hit two bolts within 3/4 of an inch next to each other. With any weapon the sights need to be learned and practiced with, up , down ,side to side. The string is fair will not last long, after 15 shots started to unravel. As with any cross bow this needs two people to preload the string and is not short, that is where the amount of pressure comes from. The safeties work great as long as one is not in a hurry to load. I made a big mistake and did not lock the cocking mechanism in full and got my thumb caught in between it and the body. Upon release my thumb felt the entire pressure of the bow, (yes still have thumb minus a few ounces of blood). KEY elements are, Assemble correct, Not a toy, Treat with respect,

Happily Surprised
I got this for Father's Day, and when I went to see my dad to give him his Father's Day presents I showed off my new crossbow. He liked it so much that yesterday, I gave him the one for his birthday. Pros: Power, from 20 feet it will penetrate through a 1/2" privacy fence board. Value: not top of the line, but for this price you can't expect it to be. That said, it's accurate, not cheaply made, and well worth the price for an entry level crossbow pistol. Cons: Only one really, it is a pain to string. I've now strung up two of these. My first took a while and I needed an extra set of hands. The one I bought for my dad was easier b/c I flexed the bow over my thigh prior to assembly and stringing. This helped a lot and I was able to string it by myself. P.S. as has already been said in other reviews, this crossbow is not a toy. Be aware of what you are aiming at, and what is behind it.

Great little crossbow
It’s a great little crossbow. Wax the rail and string! Also use a little superglue on the rubber squares. A lot of the bad reviews are more than likely from not lining the limb up correctly and/or not using the rubber bushings. I’ve gone through two dozen bolts being destroyed and the bow is still perfect. I’m sure it’s possible for one person to string it but it is much easier with two. It is a little on the inexpensive side so don’t expect it to be super awesome or anything but it does exactly what it’s supposed to do and it’s fairly accurate. This is not a toy and could cause real harm if not handled correctly.

I will update once begin using.I do believe it will be exactly as advertised.I have used crossbows 40+ years, this one my opinion is cheap mass produced item.I recieved exactly what I paid for.A mass produced item .

Not a child’s to, metal point, two person put together!
This is really hard to load but I’m 78 year old granny and determined and I finally had to use a chair but it held it so I could load it. I had to have my son put it together, it is a two person project. Sites had to be set but is accurate and fun to use. My grandson helps me load it until it gets a little easier to do by myself.

Not a great experience
This item is not very well made. It works reasonably well. Accuracy is not the best. I think the assembly has too much flex and wiggle to be highly accurate. Mine also arrived broken and I had to make a replacement part to get it working. It was shipped on the most terrible fashion imaginable. Loose in a box with no packing material. No wonder it arrived broken. It also had no instructions. This is a weapon. At least explain how to safely use the thing..... Horrible.

Good product
Excellent product, especially at this price. The included aluminum bolts are going to break or come apart if you are shooting at anything other than a very well-padded archery target. Be prepared to break and lose many bolts, I would suggest buying alternate bolts or making you own (very easy to do). The easiest way to string the bow is, after assembling the bow by tightening the prod into place and putting the caps on the prod tips, loop the string over one prod and place that prod on the ground. Brace the pistol grip against your shin while crouching, pushing the unhooked prod down to slip the string over it. It may take a few tries, but this was the easiest way for me and it does no damage to the string, which is the most fragile part of the bow.
