I don't have a kettle (I just received and read the instructions). Are there alternate ways to make it?

Neither do I. :-) I use a popper that has a whirly-gig thing on it and a handle that lets me spin it fast. I heat the oil and add the popcorn at a point when the popcorn sizzles when I put it in. Then I slowly add the glaze pop while cranking slowly so that it will melt into the oil. Then I crank like crazy to keep it from burning on the bottom. I get really good results this way. You also need to use cocoanut oil or another oil that does not burn at high temperature. Plus you need to use more oil than if just popping popcorn so that there is enough oil to melt the glaze.

How much glaze per batch of popcorn does one container make? thank you!

A lot. I made over 15 big pot full of popcorn for 2 big kids psrties and still have a bunch of mix. I did found the mix to be to sweet so I sprinkled a little bit of salt with it. The result is like kettle corn (sweet with a little salt). 1/4 a cup of the mix and 1/2 cup of corn kernels is enough to make a big pot.

Does this taste like Cherry or standard Kettle with pink dye?

The product does have a cherry taste to it. You can adjust the amount used to the desired amount of cherry taste you are looking for

We are doing a school party and need to about 600 cups of popcorn. How many cups of popcorn would one carton make?

Ratio of corn to glaze is 1 : 1/2. i.e. 1c corn ( Unpopped) gets 1/2 c glaze. Don't use any salt in the kettle.
