by Amazon Mango Chutney, 230g

Bought a few jars of these now, its nothing special but they're nice enough at a good price so can't complain. What i mean by that is its not really a chutney more a thick jam, its sweet and has good flavour but isnt fancy with clear quality ingredients on show like some other brands. But as i use it mainly for adding sweetness to curries etc rather than just sugar for more depth it does the job well. Not sure i'd buy this brand to eat with say just poppadoms or sumin, though it wouldn't be bad in anyway, more than edible that way just that theres better brands for that imo.

I gave it 5 stars because of the cheap price. I found it just sweet with little or no mango flavour. I had to use my Alchemist skills on it to bring it alive, so I added a couple of teaspoons of Pataks mango chilli to it. It works wonders. I love the improved flavour.

I selected this chutney on the basis of its low price, but honestly it was pretty bland - not enough bite. But, for the price, it is fine. My niece chomps down half a jar per meal, and she didn't complain.

Amazon's Mango Chutney is very, very nice; tangy and excellent mango taste.

Normally this is quite nice, although the mango it almost invisible. But this time the jar came with a broken seal, and the popper oo top of the jar was popping. Please check that your seal is not damaged before eating. This will not stop me buying again, as it is nice, just a pity the mango is not larger.

I decided to give this a try when placing an order for other groceries on here & I was keen to see if it tasted really good! Sadly, it does NOT taste great, nor does it resemble any chutney I've ever eaten before! It was so awful that after testing barely one little teaspoon of it I threw the jar away because I knew there was no way the taste of this would ever grow on me, and I never wanted to ever taste it again! As another reviewer has said, it is like some weird kind of jam instead of chutney. Total waste of money but at least it didn't even cost £1 so it wasn't a big loss but a lesson learned to stick to chutneys that I know actually do taste good!
