This is it!! Where has this thing been all my life??!! ❤️
Long but worth the read to know how to get your cats to use it. I chose this automatic litter box because of the open top. I have a male sphynx who has a long body and weighs 10 lbs and I also have a small female sphynx who weighs 6 pounds. My male does this crazy looking thing where he stands up on his hind legs and holds onto the side and pees. I had a feeling the enclosed litter robot might not work for him. I’m using the arm and hammer hard ball litter in this and it works wonderfully. The smell of this litter is amazing!! My whole room smells nice. Sphynx cats eat more than other cats and they are stinky when they poop! They can clear a room! The only time I smell the box is while they’re pooping and I never smell it again. I have this box set to turn over the poop to make sure it’s coated good and then clean and dump it 7 minutes after they get out! It’s perfect timing for my cats. It gives it time to clump and then dump. When I first started setting it up which is a breeze to do btw, my male kept jumping in it like it was a box to play in. I had to remove him 3 times to finish. I activated it to level the litter and he was fascinated with the movement and watched it. I removed their old breeze box completely out of sight and placed this new one in the exact same spot that the old box was. This is gross and graphic but it’s how you need to do it: The way you get them to use it is, you take a decent sized, coated with old cat litter turd out of your old box, you can use a glove, but I just used a few paper towels and picked the biggest one out before throwing the old box away. It was pretty dried so it broke up into 3 pieces when I went to put it in the new litter which worked out because I planted and slightly buried with the tops still showing slightly in 3 places spaced out in the new litter box. Make sure your new box here is set to manual instead of automatic so that it doesn’t dump your turds you just planted right away. If you have multiple cats, you can set it back to automatic AFTER ALL your cats have done their business. My male sniffed and quickly realized that this is not a box to play in but a box to do his business. He cautiously climbed up in it and scratched around and finally positioned himself which I took a picture of. My female was sleeping at the time, so she hadn’t had a chance to notice the new box yet, so the old turds and his business he just did was left in there. When she woke up, she went to the area and just stood there and looked at it for a couple of minutes but then she started smelling and inched closer to get a better whiff and check it out. Now, she’s pretty tiny so when she went to climb in, she struggled a little because it’s taller than what she’s used to. I need to find a small step but I haven’t found one yet that I can place in front of it on the mat to help her. I left her alone tho and didn’t help her because she was in the mood to use the box so I didn’t want to distract her or have her associate having to go with any disruptions so I let her struggle and pull herself up in there. She did the same thing he did, smelled for awhile and scratched around a bit and then she peed. I let her take her time getting out and go on about her business and then I turned the automatic on a few minutes later. Both cats just watched it move and it was very quiet so I didn’t bother them at all. They have used it every time like normal since and that was last Friday when I got it. I decided to check the drawer 4 days later and it was time to take the bag out and put a new one. Just DON’T open the drawer until you’re ready to change it because, it’s stinky when you open it. The drawer is sealed very well though and contains the smell so you only smell it when you open it. I’ve never smelled it at all before when walking by the box. I decided every 4 days was a good time frame to check and change the bag for my two cats so I set a 4 day reminder in the app. I love how you can just cinch it up and throw it away and the bags aren’t cheap. They are heavy duty! God!! That’s so easy and quick! I love it!! I may change litter but I love the smell of this one so much that I don’t want to. My male is a wild man getting out after he does his business. I guess he feels so good and light that he just barrels out of there so he flings. The mat is great though! I just fold it up a little on the sides once a day and dump it back in the box. I put another rug on the other side of the mat to catch anything in case he jumps out and over which he almost always does. That is working well. I was a little nervous about making this investment but it’s the best decision I’ve ever made for my cats and sooo worth it! I’ll never go back to sifting turds out everyday again!

Quiet, odor control, and an excellent app for peace of mind. The best!
I have been on a journey to find the best automatic litter box for our situation. I have to keep the litter box in my living space so I really wanted something that had excellent odor control. I also wanted something that would be whisper quiet and have the capacity to except do not disturb times. I did a ton of research and everything pointed to this litter box. At first we had some issue with the right kind of litter or so I thought, but it does now seem to be working just fine with our old bentonite clay litter that we used to use in our previous litter box. Beyond that initial issue, it has been a dream. It is so quiet and it does such a good job of odor control for my two cats who use it constantly. How do I know they use it constantly? Because the app that goes along with it actually tracks everything for me. Once I entered in my cat's information and the setup process, it now weighs them every time they use it and keeps track of how long they're in there. It's so great for keeping up on their health. The only little minor issue I had with it is that they are still on the younger side and they weigh pretty much the exact same. So sometimes the litter box has difficulty distinguishing one cat from the other. However, I know that will change as their weights diverge as they get older. It does a great job of cleaning up and it is excellent at conserving litter. It just scoops out the clumps and levels out the rest each time it's Auto cleans. I also was able to connect it to Amazon Alexa. There was initially a little bit of a difficulty getting My account to link with the skill, but it seems to be working great now. Overall I am so pleased with this litter box and my cat seem to love it as well. They had no issues with being afraid because it's just not loud. Loud. Also because it's an open top. Couldn't be happier and I will be recommending this to everyone I know looking for an automatic litter box.

- Do not buy this product!
If you are looking to buy this product, don’t. I would like apologize in advance for the long review, however I believe it is worth a read. I purchased this product in July 2024 for around $500. It is selling today for $380. That should tell you a lot right there but I would like to share my terrible experience with this product and Nekasa’s customer support. I have had nothing but problems with this machine since it was purchased just under 2 years ago. ( I’ve only been able to effectively use it as intended for about a year and a half because every time I have to contact customer support support I end up emailing back and forth for months online end before anything gets resolved if it ever does.) 1. My first issue came into play shortly after purchasing. The entire assembly is made of cheap plastic and is. It designed well. It is pieces out together with seams. The rubber litter tray is not secured tightly to the box, and if your cat pees on the side of the bin area, the urine will leak through the seams and down into the base of the machine. The machine after just under 2 years of use smells horrendous. After contacting the support email about this issue their solution was to send me the flimsy silicone stickers that they sell because they know their product is not quality and is not assembled in the best way possible. 2. As a result of the problem listed above and the waste disposal method of this machine, there will be litter that accumulates in the door area causing the door to grind terribly, get stuck, and even become misaligned. I have had to deep clean this machine once a week to keep it functional due to this issue. If the doors become misaligned, you have to disassemble the entire base to clean it and reassemble it again. This requires you to have and extra long necked screw driver to be able to reach down into the holes where the tiny screws are located, unscrew about 20 screws (Hope you don’t lose some), deal with a smell worse than a dive bar’s men’s urinal when the AC is out, and try to clean all the loose litter and urine out of the sensitive electronics and all the nooks and crannies this machine has. Oh, and better try and put it all back together exactly as it came apart because if you don’t, you won’t know until it’s fully reassembled ( there’s no other way to test it). If you don’t, you get to play with the tiny screws and the smell again. 3. The litter issue above will cause the door gear to break. That is also made out of cheap plastic. The teeth have broken on me twice and I have had to replace this gear twice. The inside of the base is nothing but exposed electrical panels and loose wires. The only water proofing is the small amounts of silicone around the wire connections. Not great considering urine leaks through the whole machine. You will have to break the waterproofing the replace the gear motor assembly without breaking the other wires near by or the electrical panel. I even found some unconnected wires in my box when opening it up to clean or replace parts. 4. I most recently had the panic span my phone and email with a weight sensor error. When trying to reset the weight sensor it tells me I need to update the firmware, but I can’t update the firmware without clearing the weight sensor error. Had to reach out to support again, and their solution was to pick it up off the floor for 5 seconds, set it back down and drag it back and forth across the floor. As you guessed, this did nothing. They told me that the machine was out of warranty and that I would need to pay $250 for a new base. (This would bring the total spent on Theo box to $750- should’ve bought a litter robot for that price). After arguing with them for a month, they finally agreed to send me a new base for free ( the least the could do after so many issues from the start). I opening the new base today to find that they sent me a USED base. They didn’t clean it thoroughly and there is still dirty litter and litter dust all of their machine. It is cracked, covered in scratched, and missing legs. Redistributing used parts of a product that handle animal feces is abhorrent. This could lead to the transfer of diseases and bacteria. This should not be allowed. Needless to say, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. You will waste your time, money, and sanity. Customer support wants nothing but your money, and does not take care of their customers. One of the worst experiences I have ever had as a consumer. I hope this review and pictures saves others from going through this experience.

Perfect. Worth every penny, even their bags.
UPDATE: it started to say the bag wasn’t in place and than all heck broke loose and all the lights started flashing and it wouldn’t clean. I’m on day 5 of no litter box (this one) it replaced about 6/7 of my litter boxes so this is a pain in the butt. BUT customer service was very quick to answer and send me over the broken part to replace. We will see how fast it comes. Still five stars, just a little annoyed at myself for removing so many normal litter boxes and only counting on an electric one. Only took two days to receive new bottom replacement piece so that was wonderful. Customer service is great and I will still be buying another one but I will be keeping a few litter boxes still. ORIGINAL: I have ten cats. So I have ten litter boxes that I clean twice a day. I’ve researching these for a while now and came to the conclusion that this is the best of the best for my cats. The Prime day deal on this was way too amazing to pass up. My cats took to it immediately. They aren’t even touching their normal ones anymore. So I just keep up with the litter which I add some every morning and switch the bag as well every morning. I could go a day or two longer without switching I’m sure but I have no interest in the smell and I have enough cats that luckily I’m not wasting bags. There is zero smell. I ordered a shark pet odor air purifier (again CRAZY deal on that too!), it hasn’t showed up yet and honestly I’m not even worried about it. The litter boxes are up stairs in a room with ventilation and this box is under the stairs in a play closet set up for the cats, which is in my living room (I thought for sure I’d be moving it upstairs to the litter box room because I can not stand the smell of litter) and it doesn’t smell. I also use Tidy Cats free & clean. Best litter I have ever used. You literally can not tell I have cats. So that litter with this box is top notch. I will be eventually ordering two more. I forgot to add that the app is really great too. It will let you know if there is enough litter in the box. How full the litter bin is. You can set it up to your liking. It tells you how long your cat was in there for and how much you cat weighs You can make a profile for each cat so it tracks their potty habits. I have too many cats to sit here and set that up. ****Update after three days of owning this, all 10 cats pretty much only use this. With 10 cats I change the bin every 24 hrs because it is full. As stated above, I hope to eventually purchase at least two more. Update***** it’s now next month. And yes, I am dedicated to letting people know what’s up lol. This is the best. I take it apart once a month to give it a good scrub. The things where all the litter goes, those unscrew so that you can get a great clean on this thing. Also as it’s cleaning the box, I like to take a rag to it as it’s cleaning itself because I’ve noticed ‘stuff’ can get on it. I’m still obsessed. As are my cats. I’ve been able to remove five normal litter boxes from upstairs. They barely use the five up there anymore. They’re OBSESSED with this box. I really need to get another one. Worth absolutely every single penny and could not possibly be a happier 10 kittie owner household. UPDATE: I’ve had this for a few months now and it is amazing. I take it apart and wash it twice a month, I change the bag everyday (I have to with so many) and still no smell. I never had to move the litter box from the main floor because I can’t smell it. My cats all still love it. I do recommend only using their bags. I tried a garbage bag when I ran out and you can then smell the dirty litter. So their bags are worth every penny in my opinion. I still plan to purchase two more in the future.

Generally pretty great, but room for improvement
Generally great with a few features which could use improvement. First, the amount of litter our cats fling around, even with the $50 pedestal and honeycomb mat, is enough that I still have to sweep the area twice per day. I'd kill for a built-in splash-shield which automatically emptied to the waste bin beneath, which should be possible with the current design. I know you can pay for some added attachment but after the $50 pedestal did nothing, there's no way. There's also not a ton of space for them to move around in there, relative to the machine's ginormous footprint, so maybe improvement on that front would help? Second, you have to manually reconnect the machine every time your wireless internet hiccups. The machine itself cannot remember the network name and password to keep checking to see when they come back online, you have to take your phone to the machine, select the network on your phone, and punch in your 25-character secure randomized password again every. single. time. IT departments wonder why all of use easy passwords... this machine is why. This also is something they should be able to fix on all extant units with a software patch. Third, I really shouldn't need a connected phone for the litterbox to work. I was initially fooled by the hardware buttons, believing I could get this thing to level, calibrate, etc. without a company tracking all my data. I have yet to get a single button (apart from "power") to work without my phone's involvement. Last, I'm not sure if it can be helped, but it was a BEAST to assemble (because some of the pieces are kinda heavy or unwieldy, not because of complexity) and carry to its place. If it were my 70+ y.o. mom doing this, I'd know I would need to be there for set-up and come by multiple times a month to make sure it was filled and washed for her. So, it's automatic but insufficient for a person who is already physically limited. Other than that, it was easy to assemble out of the box, easy to disassemble for cleaning, and means we have totally clean litter at all times if it's emptied every other day and washed every other week... even with three cats! I am allergic to cats and just about all cat litters, so it was HUGE deal for me to limit my exposure to that room and for everything to be kept sealed away in a trash bag within minutes. I don't have to put my face near it anymore! If you have an older or less healthy cat, I also imagine the app tracking + a health-monitoring litter would be a huge weight lifted, mentally. No smell so far, but we do have a lot of house plants nearby, which helps. If I only needed this to reduce frequency of cleaning or limit odor, I'd go for it. TL;DR - So far, pretty great. Although, if I'd already had a working system I'd probably wait for the M1.1 or 2.0.

Get one - it’s life changing!
I wasn’t sure if our elderly (18 year old) cat would adjust to an automatic kitty litter box, but honestly this unit was life changing for both of us! I put this next to her old litter box and within 1 day she was using it. The Neakasa unit was easy to set up and best of all it needs little assistance from me to keep clean. I normally empty the collection tray twice a week and there is no bad odor in the meantime. The unit is a little high for my arthritic kitten, so my husband built a few steps leading up to it to make it easier for her to get in and out. She is picky about what she steps on, so I didn’t think she’d go for the steps Neakasa offers. While I’m not a fan of having an app for everything, I do find the Neakasa app convenient - it records my cat’s frequency of using the litter box and her weight each time she enters the box. This has been very helpful as she has had lifelong kidney issues. But let’s not forget the best part - not having to scoop out a litter box! I’ve had this unit since October 2024 and it has held up great, works as well as it did when I first got it. Of all the things I’ve bought for my kitten I do believe we both appreciate this one the most. :)

4.5 out of 5, I would buy again, 95% as good as litter robot for less $
7 months update: My cat still loves it, and I am still impressed, this is a fantastic purchase, I hardly ever remember it's even there, it works around the clock behind the scene and requires very little attention. I never ever need to touch it unless it's for monthly cleaning or changing out the waste bag when the app prompt me to. It's so good that 2 other people bought it under my recommendation, and they both are very happy with the purchase. 4.5 out of 5 so far - from 1 month of use, we will see about longevity. TL;DR, it's a great option, I prefer this over my old litter robot 3. There are some down sides but overall very minor. The unit works great and the kitty pinch protection works well too. Tips and tricks: 1. Don't use light weight litters, they bounce too much and will make a bigger mess, go with low tracking regular weight litter light like the one shown in picture below, also avoid long grain litters. 2. Somebody here mentioned in the review, wax the interior of the litter box periodically, especially the hard plastic surfaces, it will dramatically cut down on the chance of litter sticking to the wall during the flushing. 3. Check the waste bin more often, shake it even out the pile, because the waste like to pile up in one spot. 4. Buy the pedestal, it is well made and traps 85% of the stray litter. 5. Test out how long it takes for the litter you use to clump, and configure the smart flush timer accordingly, for the litter I use, which is shown in pic below, I set it to 14 minutes. What I like: 1. The unit is nice and quiet even in regular mode, so I have no problem with it flushing at night. 2. Cat protection seems to be very well implemented, and I would even say it's overly cautious, which is great. I tested with my hand all the possible cat intrusions that I can think of during the flushing process, and it never fails to stop immediately. And I have on many occasions seen my cat interrupting the flushing process and the unit always stops. I feel very safe with my 5 month old (6lb) kitty using it, but it is still a good idea to disable the auto flush and use manual flush for younger cats. 3. The built and construction is very nice, the plastic looks premium and the design is very easy on the eye, I would even say this is a better built unit than my old litter robot 3, at least from the outside. 4. The rubber liner seems to be durable and doesn't stick as much, overall the set up is better than litter robot 3, which is very much prone to cat tearing up the rubber liner. 5. App is actually reliable so far. 6. Good value. What I don't like: 1. The lip on the litter drum could be taller so that it would deflect more stray litter, a taller fence as factory accessory would be great. 2. It's big, and won't fit in most of the enclosures that I can find. 3. The included silicone sticker doesn't not stick to the rubber liner too well and starts to peel in the second week. 4. I wish it comes in different color like white, grey shows dust very easily.

It’s a good investment but needs tweaking
The open top feature was super important to consider - due to the largesse of one of our cats. She is very tall and long and I was concerned about safety in the other models. Both cats took to it immediately and we were so impressed with how quickly they adjusted to it. I rated it 3/5 stars though for 2 main reasons - operational errors and odors. It’s July 8, 2025 and we have experienced 2 recent instances where the unit freezes upside down amidst the cleaning cycle and remains unavailable for cats to use. This has resulted in a cat pooping outside the box. It took numerous attempts to “reboot” the box (unplugging, waiting and powering back on). The second instance was just yesterday and the time to reset was significantly more than the last time - which was in early June. I find this alarming - due to the cost of the box and its relatively newness. The odor seems to linger in the bottom box despite cleaning it. Bags are changed very frequently here and no soiled litter actually comes in contact with the base - but the odor is intense, as it seems to permeate the box. Cleaning the litter box is easy and takes no time st all. We don’t use the WiFi feature due to the lack of signal at our residence and competing items. My cats are very adept at skirting around the litter trap mat - so a few select cat litter products have risen to the top - Boxie Pro is ideal in this litter box. I think this box has been great but I have concerns about the freezing. It does seem to happen to other brands as well and having a back up low-tech box is a must (though our bougie girls won’t use it). I think some tweaking is in order - looking at where the glitch is in the electrical system and an upgrade is warranted. Furthermore - there is always a opportunity to improve that lingering odor issue, as it can be ghastly. I intentionally waited to submit my review and encourage those of you (like me) to heed reviews with consideration on items just arrived. I look for ones like these. Good luck! I love this for convenience but think it bears some scrutiny.

Ottimo prodotto
