I have tried several brands of Red Yeast Rice. This is by far one of the best! It does not upset my stomach at all. Easy to take, and has helped to lower my cholesterol.

My cholesterol looked great on this stuff. Lowered my total by almost 100 points. Cut my LDL and triglycerides in half. But the muscle cramps from the red yeast rice was brutal to say the least. RYR is chemically identical to lovastatin, that’s why it’s so effective, it’s a statin. But lovastatin is like a first generation statin. It’s not prescribed anymore because the newer ones have much less side effects and are more effective. There’s a couple other supplements to help lower cholesterol that don’t include RYR if you want to do it naturally. But if nothing else worked except this stuff you might as well get on an RX statin. It’s no worse for you than RYR, may even be healthier as this is unregulated. Probably even more effective at lowering bad and raising good cholesterol (RYR doesn’t do much for HDL) and definitely will have less side effects. If you have insurance it’ll be cheaper as well. Took a month or once I stopped this for the cramping to subside. Took a while for me to realize this stuff was causing it. But if you can manage your cholesterol without statins that’s best as they are not great drugs.

All good, no aftertaste. Pill is big so take with lots of water.
