This kit works well - allows the camera to go into parking mode - comes with everything you need and is easy to use. The cable that goes to the front camera could be longer (so I could site the control box where I wanted it) but I managed quite well. Decent value for money - it makes my camera look professionally fitted.

I bought this item to hard wire in a RedTiger dashcam, the wiring part is relatively straightforward but there was a break in the cable somewhere between the voltage block and the USB C port, so I would say that the cable is not up to standard and was broken. Update: The seller contacted me following this review and provided a refund, so customer service is very good. I got the OBD cable which worked great.

Overpriced, should have gotten cheaper option, ive installed it although its very short cable to voltage box then found that the piggyback fuse holders are so tight they damage fuses when removing them, a problem that redtiger could possibly resolve but amazon's system won't allow me to ask questions just pre selected questions which only include returning the whole item , I really don't want to remove all my panels to remove the cable when the faulty part is easily replaced, my only option was a bad review and hope they contact me to correct the situation

Great kit, comes with everything you need for installing. even includes a Trim removal tool! its not the best quality tool i've felt but it will get the job done for people who are not professionally installing these on the daily. i like the different switchable voltage protection modes. and the status screen that tells you what your voltage is currently at. also really nice that it comes with each size of fuse holder so you dont have to try and figure out before purchasing. its also nice incase you wish to take it out and install in a different vehicle later. the connections use bullet connectors so no crimping needed!

Compré este kit de cableado junto con mi cámara REDTIGER F7NP-N para realizar una instalación fija en el vehículo y poder utilizar el modo parking sin depender del cable de alimentación del mechero. La instalación ha sido sencilla siguiendo las instrucciones y utilizando los adaptadores de fusibles incluidos. Permite realizar una conexión mucho más limpia y profesional que llevar un cable por el salpicadero hasta la toma de corriente, dejando la cámara totalmente integrada en el vehículo. Una de las cosas que más valoro es la posibilidad de mantener la cámara funcionando con el vehículo apagado gracias al modo parking, ya que evita perder esa función por no tener una alimentación permanente. Además, el sistema incorpora protección para evitar una descarga excesiva de la batería, algo fundamental cuando se deja un dispositivo conectado durante horas. La calidad del cable y los conectores transmite buenas sensaciones, y la longitud del cable permite realizar una instalación oculta pasando por los revestimientos del interior del vehículo. En mi caso lo he instalado en un Volkswagen Tiguan y el resultado ha sido una instalación limpia, sin cables visibles y con un funcionamiento perfecto junto a la REDTIGER F7NP-N. Si se va a instalar una dashcam de forma permanente, considero que este kit merece mucho la pena frente a utilizar simplemente la toma de 12 V. Es una solución más cómoda, segura y profesional.

This Dashcam Hardware(HW) kit has a USB-C connector and worked with my Redtiger F7N Touch. One BIG plus is that the dashcam starts up much quicker. With the standard ACC adapter, the F7N takes an excruciating 21 seconds to start recording. I can be well on the road by then. With the HW kit, the dashcam switches from parking mode to recording in a second or two. It also displays the voltage of the battery and the cutoff voltage. I stuck it to my dash so I can see these voltages easily, but you can easily put it near your fuse box if you want it out of sight. The kit comes with a bunch of 'Fuse Taps' so you can find B+ and ACC power. I had to use a voltmeter to find the active side of the fuse after removing the fuse because the power side was not always on the 'top.' I cracked the case open and I did not see any red-flags with the the electronics - it looks well built. Below are the connections from the Regulator to the USB-C pins. This is important because the dashcam needs to get constant power for its time-lapse parking monitor mode and needs to know when the car is started (ACC goes active) to start live recording, and these signals need to be on the correct pins. Below are the connections from the HW kit wires to the USB-C conector. Red Tiger HW kit USB-C Pinout Black wire: USB-C pins B1,B12 A1,A12 (All GND pins) Yellow wire: Battery+ USB-C pins A4,A9 & B4,B9 (All VBUS pins) Red wire: Switched Acc USB-C pins A5,A8 & B5,B8 (cc1,sbu1,cc2,sbu2) The F7N seems satisfied with receiving the ACC signal on just the cc1/cc2 pins, and this seems to be a dashcam 'standard' if you can call it that. This was verified by using a generic HW kit that did not have connections to sbu1, sbu2. The battery protection cutoff voltage is adjustable with 3 cutoff voltage choices and a digital voltage display, which can be nice to monitor your battery condition. The only issue I have with this HW kit is that sometimes the display does not light up, making me think it is not working. When I start the car, my dashcam starts up but the display does not illuminate with ACC. If I move the voltage cutoff switch, then the display lights up, displays the new cutoff voltage, then it displays ACC. So a minor 'glitch' in the display, but overall it seems to work.
