Terratec Aureon 5.1 PCI Internal Surround Sound Card

This card is well packaged easy to fit although supplied drivers were not for win7 & had to be downloaded direct from Terratec's website, the drivers installed very quickly & after a restart the control panel appeared where (which I was not expecting) I could change the bit rate to 44.1Khz (cd) for the optical output which is good for me as all my recordings are in WAV 44.1Khz uncompressed format. Overal I think this card is worth it's money

At this price it is a very good card but would not recommend it for anyone who needs top quality sound reproduction. Bass is a bit lacking so audiophiles will be disappointed. It is what is says it is though and and provides a cheap solution when Windows 10 rejects your previous card!

Not compatible with windows 10. Contacted product support and was told that it was an old product with no up to date support. Windows 8 drivers loaded but no sound. Sound level bars were moving up and down but no output. This is an old card, give it a miss.

At the time I struggled to get this working, Windows 10 did not automatically recognise it and I had to download a driver from a foreign website. It did work eventually and well enough for the price. But its not plug and play easy the way we expect these days

A good all round sound card, complete with a small control panel application that would work well with an analogue set up. unfortunatley I was looking for a card capable of outputting 5.1 via the TOSlink optical cable to my surround system, this card does not allow for such a function. Still it fixed the buzzing I was getting from my mobo sound card. I'd also recommend downloading the latest (2007) drivers from Terratec.

Nice and easy to install, doesn't have horrid bloaty drivers like a certain company does. Good card, highly reccomended.

Gleich vorweg: ich gebrauche Soundkarten ausschließlich im STEREO-Betrieb für Hören, Streamen und Anschluss eines SAT-Receivers. Ich suchte einen Ersatz zu meiner Hammerkarte Soundblaster X-Fi mit genialem Klang, die aber unter Win7/64Bit im Zusammenhang mit einer SSD nur Probleme verursachte, (trotz mehrerer, unterschiedlicher Treiber). Bis ich zu dieser Aureon fand, war es ein langer Weg. Hatte folgende Karten ausprobiert: "AuzenTech X-Meridian","Asus Xonar D2X PCIe","M-Audio Delta Audiophile 2496","Creative Labs Sound Blaster 5.1 ST 1070",mehrere billige No-Name-Karten und eine "ESI Juli@". Die Letztere hatte ich am Längsten - sie mußte aber schließlich doch weichen, weil es angebrachter ist, die Karte an einem Verstärker zu betreiben. Hab ich nicht,... möchte ich auch nicht. Alle genannten Karten erfüllten mindestens eine meiner 3 Anforderungen nicht, (außer der Juli@)! Klanglich konnte keine Karte mit der X-Fi mithalten, waren aber dafür manchmal mehr als doppelt so teuer! Nun diese TerraTec Aureon zu einem unglaublichen Preis - ich hatte meine Zweifel. Was soll ich sagen: ich bin überrascht, erstaunt und vollkommen zufrieden. Schlanker, schnell zu installierender Treiber, (von der Homepage geladen). Kleines Zusatz-Tool mit einfacher, präziser Steuerung. Und schließlich ein für mich sehr, sehr guter Klang. Ganz minimal schwächer als der X-Fi-Chip, (auf der Aureon ist ein "CMI8738-Chip" verbaut). Ich hätte mir mit dieser Karte, wenn ich sie gleich gekauft hätte, viel Geld und Ärger ersparen können. Aber man denkt immer: so billig, dann kann es auch nichts taugen. FALSCH gedacht. FAZIT: Super Karte im Stereo-Betrieb mit hervorragendem Klang und sehr stabilem, kleinem Treiber für alle System zu einem unschlagbaren Kampfpreis!

Ottima qualità. Funziona bene con Windows 10 bisogna scaricare i drive da internet. Mixer audio completo di effetti riverbero.Ottima per giochi e film. Rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente. Attenzione ha attacco PCI per schede madri datate.

Bonjour. Petit "tuto" pour cette carte son acheté pour remplacer une carte embarquée dans carte mère. Je me suis dit ! ne pas mettre trop de sous ! Donc cet achat . Un doute quand même sur la compatibilité avec W8 / 64 bits (pas indiqué !!!). Surpris de chez surpris ,après l'installation du logiciel et du paramétrage des HP dans l'interface "AUREON" , de la sic que de la sic et super surpris de la qualité du son( beaucoup plus performant que l'ancienne carte d'origine). Je conseille donc ce produit pour la qualité des composants, la facilité d'utilisation de son interface tout en étant complet et sa performance pour ce périphérique audio a petit prix . Pour information , désactiver les composants si il y a une ancienne carte.Crlt.

Muy buena tarjeta. El jack de salida de la tarjeta de sonido de mi placa base estaba un poco desajustado y aproveché para comprar esta tarjeta reacondicionada que ha cumplido de sobra mis espectativas. El único problema que encontré fue que tuve que hacer una reinstalación de los drivers porque no encontraba el ejecutable del panel de control de la tarjeta tras quitar el icono de la barra de tareas. Pero por 8.51€ como nueva, 5.1 y con salida óptica. Qué más se puede pedir... totalmente recomendable y con drivers desde XP a 10 (vía web).

Carte son montée sur un vieux PC utilisant Windows XP. Installée et reconnue sans problème. Fonctionne bien. Le volume max du son est assez faible quand on se contente de brancher des écouteurs sur la carte son, mais en allant dans les paramètres du logiciel associé (icône Xear 3D), y'a moyen de booster le volume de chaque sortie audio et dans mon cas un + 7dB de chaque côté m'a permis de régler ce problème. Maintenant, tout va bien.
