This is a fantastic kit by Apitor, it’s an educational 18 in 1 superbot robot kit that runs by remote control off an APP that you install on your tablet or phone. This robot kit is on the high end price but with 18 bots to build I cannot see kids getting bored any time soon. A great present for any child that loves robot building.

this apitor robot was fun to play with, it got 18 predesigned robots for assemble, most of them make use of the remote control motor, but some just play like ordinary blocks assemble the robots by following instruction was not difficult, they usually work after assembled; but i found a problem that gears couldn’t stay well in their position where they supposed to be, especially the gear of the rotating shaft, they gradually slipping away from the shaft, block the other parts movement, or lost the torque to move, i needed to fix the gears frequently, quite frustrated, especially for those car robots, walking robots, they could be played for a few minutes, then the gear will loose and lost the balance, and robot could not move correctly there are 2 tracking sensors included with the kit, i followed the sample code to make the delivery robot to walk follow the black line; i explored the scratch programming interface and found there are other type of sensor i could drag into the program, but not sure if they’re included or built somewhere in the main controller block, eventually i couldn’t find them anywhere, i believe apitor may release new sensors to fit these functions? by the way, now the apitor app doesn’t work on ios 14 now, it crashed everytime i try to use it, so i couldn’t remote control the robot with the app anymore since the selling point of this robot is mainly app control and programming, now the most valuable part doesn’t work on ios, not sure about android but please apitor company got to fix it soon before more customer complain about it

There's so much you could say about this, but I won't. Its' cheap, programmable lego compatible. If you want to make remote control lego you could do worse than use this as a starter set. It's certainly cheaper than the lego alternatives. If this grabs your child's fancy then perhaps you could upgrade to a full on programmable lego suite.

Apitor robot kit worth five keep them interested and busy stars. This is a great kit, I know its says for an eight year old at least, but I gave it to my friends kids and they are 6 and 7, (they are very sensible girls) they loved it, we sat and built this and I don’t know who had more fun me or them. I have left it with them as they have plans for different builds, as there are different levels to build too. I don’t generally have much to do with kids but I will be offering to babysit so much more if they keep up with toys like this!!!

This has been great so far. It’s got loads of things to build and the app is useful. I think that any child who likes to build will enjoy this. It has loads of potential for helping to learn lots of STEM skills and is interesting and fun. The builds are easyish or hard ... depending on which you want to try.... but they all give some challenges.... A great bit of kit...

8/10 for the building because it's fun and challenging but it can be frustrating. 0/10 for the programming part of app because the tutorial doesn't tell you what to do. 5/5 for the remote controlling in app because it's fun and you can move it in any direction. Overall score - 3/5

This box comes in a really smart box with a premium look- I would have no issue wrapping it up and giving it to a niece or nephew as a present. Inside the box, there are instructions for 3 builds, of which one is the jeep on the front cover - the rest you need to download from the app. The app is actually quite good, looks very professional and was easy to navigate. I did find one problem with the instruction set in that it had pictures of the 'bar' pieces to use - BUT THESE ARE NOT TO SCALE. As it happens one of the pieces does look like it is and so if you measure it against the picture it is the wrong piece - don't make that mistake like I did initially! The pieces are quite stiff once they are put together so taking apart again might need an adult to help, but it does come with a handy tool to help you (once you realise you need to use it!). As a building set, it is something like a cross between lego and K'nex, but not superior to either. Where it does shine is the programmable code in the app - that is a great way to get kids into programming basics, I think its a brilliant idea and wish it existed in my childhood! Its also great that this one box can build so make different sets (and to enable this you will end up with a few pieces leftover after each build). There is also scope for older children to come up with their own designs once they have grasp how the pieces fit together and interact with the motor and app. It doesn't drive quite as well as a radio control car which is 'designed' for speed and agility, but its really fun to make a 'maze' with some dvds or books in the living room and get the bot to navigate it with the code. Overall I think a child could have many fun hours with this toy without getting bored.

Ottimo prodotto. 5 stelle per la qualita ma solo 2 stelle perche purtroppo l'app che la controlla non e piu compatibile. E non ce scritto questa cosa da nessuna parte!!! La puoi trovare scaricando un apk con una versione vecchia dell app, ma e compatibile solo con l'android, per l'IOS non ce nessuna soluzione.

Para mi punto de vista es un juego muy divertido y completo y creativo, los niños aprende mucho y vuela su imaginación para diseñar, construir y programar el precio es muy accesible comparado con la marca lego y en cuestión de calidad es muy buena, lo recomiendo mucho para los niños que les gusta o quieren aprender la robótica (diseño, construcción y Programación)

Bought this for my grandson but after many months finally made model and went to test software, found the bluetooth would not work. Tried three phones, one tablet and a computer. Effectively now only a Lego kit, no real stem able to be used.

An sich ist der Apitor Bausatz eine echt gute Empfehlung. Für den Preis werden viele Bauteile zusammen mit einem Motor und einer Grundausstattung an Sensoren geliefert. Erweiterungssets gibt es ebenfalls, wenn das Grundset einmalausgereizt ist. Die Bauteile sind sauber verarbeitet, keine Grate, alles passt sehr gut zusammen - wie beim Original mit den 4 Buchstaben, deren Bausteine zu Apitor kompatibel sind. Meine 8 jährige Tochter hat gleich drauf los gebastelt und war mit Spass mehrere Stunden beschäftigt - das passiert nicht so oft, von daher hat sich der Kauf schon mal gelohnt :-) Auch die Möglichkeit, die Roboter über Bluetooth mit einem Smartphone fernzusteuern funktioniert sehr gut. Koppeln ist kein Problem und die Verbindung bleibt stabil. Zudem kann man mit einem Scratch Interpreter die Roboter programmieren. Das ist soweit gut gemacht, dass die Neugier meiner Tochter geweckt wurde, sich mit der Programmierung auch eigenständig zu beschäftigen. Es geht ja nichts über learning by doing. Warum Punktabzug? Was mich aber schon stört ist die Tatsache, dass die entsprechende Apitor Software nicht auf Amazon Tablets läuft. Im Amazon App Store wird diese nicht angeboten und auch im Google Play Store findet man nichts für das Fire Tablet. Die Software ist prinzipiell vorhanden und ich vermute, dass sie auch auf vielen Androis Geräten problemlos läuft. Die Verwendung eines iPhones macht wegen des dann zu kleinen Bildschirms keinen Spass, insbesondere wenn man etwas programmiert, oder sich eine Bauanleitungen anzeigen lassen muss. In der beigelegten Bedienungsanleitung sind leider nur 3 Anleitungen abgedruckt, den Rest gibt es nur Online über die App. Also Apitor, bitte gebt die Software auch für ein Amazon Fire Tablet frei, dann gibt es den 5. Stern.

Tiene muchos modelos para crear y es muy divertido. No es tan sencillo como parece, lo veo más apropiado para adolescentes "genios" que para niños, o para niños con mamás "genio".
