Excellent bit of kit. Does the job for me. Well put together and sturdy.

I bought SmallRig gear brand new and, unfortunately, most of their products suffer from clear design flaws. They often feel unfinished or cheaply made, prioritising cost over quality or fit. What’s worse, SmallRig’s reputation is mostly propped up by influencers and YouTubers who push their gear — rarely by professionals who actually depend on reliable, well-engineered equipment every day. When I raised the issue, they tried to tell me it was simply part of the product’s design rather than an actual problem. It felt like they were avoiding admitting the flaw to follow company policy. If you’re a serious user, be prepared for compromises and constant frustration.

Buy this if you really sure you will use it otherwise it will collect dust. Its a good kit, fit for its intended function. I only ended up using the included pouch to protect my phone, and relied on other small gadgets for filming. And unfortunately after upgrading my phone, its money wasted, perhaps buying a universal kit is better for future proofing.

Have been searching for a practical gear to help me use my new Apple 1Phone 16 Pro for photos and videos. After searching for hours on YouTube, I finally opted to try this gear designed by the photographer Brandon Li for Small Rig. This bird is amazing. Sturdy, well made, versatile and very practical. Tried it yesterday for videos and it takes iPhone 16 Pro to a next level in stability, ease of use and son on. Very happy to have bought this more expensive gear but it is worth every penny.
