I have a metal 8x6 shed, with a very shallow pitched roof, which collects all manner of vegetation, was rusting & had lost the gaffer tape covering the apex, letting in water. I bought a roll of aluminium/bitumen tape to sort that. The reviews for the tape advise cleaning & priming rougher services with bitumen primer first, so bought this. A good price & arrived promptly in a robust plastic bag. It had a few dings in the tin, but was ok, though may have caused issues with a thinner liquid. I.e. it would have been preferable to be bagged, then boxed. I would not want to use this in a confined space due to the fumes, but funnily enough garden sheds are outside! Don't take a chance with non working clothes, as even a small dab would ruin them. "Bold" Heavy Duty Black Nitrile Disposable Gloves gave great protection, though being black, you can't see the marks. I bought a cheap, stiff, synthetic bristle brush from a ยฃ shop to throw away afterwards. Wrapping in the delivery bag kept it fresh enough to re-use over a week. Initially I just applied enough to cover the area I was intending to apply the flashing too, with a bit extra either way. As expected, it is very viscous, so needs the stiff brush & lots of elbow grease. I returned the next day to apply the flashing & was surprised how quickly it had dried on the surface. As I had started in the Autumn, I expected it to be a sticky mess of falling leaves etc. but a light brush moved them out of the way. the flashing advises using a roller to apply enough pressure to break the surface tension of the primer. I had no problem with that & the seal seems good. That left me with 80% of a 1L tin left. As it had dried well without getting embedded with foliage & beaded water well, I decided to apply to the rest of the roof as a heavy duty paint. There was enough in the tin to finish that job off. The roof looks in a much better state. I expect it to harden further as it dries. The blistering summers of Scotland may have an effect later on, but time will tell.

Excellent product. Good adhesion to brick and mortar prior to applying Flashband. Dried very quickly to a high hard gloss which looked good itself. Worked well on conservatory roof as a base coat too. All round very impressed with the price and product. Best to use gloves but does come off with white spirit.

on the 100m wide ones you get transparent paper backing, they are very sticky,on the I think its 225 wide ones they have blue paper backing, much much easier to use but I don't think they are as sticky, now to be fair I did have the 225 for a year before I used it and this could have made a difference?.
