You might balk at the idea that a $100 massage gun is actually "midrange," but compared to some options on the market, it's in the middle price range. That just goes to show you how many options there are for massage guns; and that's just on Amazon alone. So in an overcrowded market, it's hard to pick out which ones are worth the price. But after using this massager for a few days. I have to say that the Sharper Image Powerboost is another great contender in it's price range. I will get the few negatives out of the way, since that's what most people will likely be looking at the reviews for. For one, the case that the massage gun comes in, while a nice addition, isn't the best quality. Placing any pressure on the lid will tell you all you need to know about it's durability. It bends to basically any pressure and feels like it's made of a thick piece of cardboard. Not a dealbreaker, but for a device in this price range, I would expect something with a little more protection. Another thing is that the orange material that circles the attachment heads seemed to be flaking off right out of the box, but after picking those loose pieces off, there doesn't seem to be any perceptible damage. At least, any that I can see. Again, just something that I would expect better from a relatively expensive product like this. The lights that this massage gun for the battery (white) and speed level (blue) are strangely bright. Like, you could use this as a low level flashlight in an emergency if you really wanted to. I'm not using this in the dark, but if you're trying to use this in the same room as someone sleeping, you might accidentally shine a light at them a few times moving the gun around. And lastly, the button that turns the device on and off is slightly recessed, so you need to put a bit more pressure on it than I personally would have liked. But other than those few qualms, I am honestly very impressed with this massage gun. It comes with a few inserts, but one that caught my eye was the guide to which attachment head is best for the area you're targeting, which is perfect for beginners and people not yet acquainted with how to use a massage gun like this. I know some don't like the "one button does everything" design, and this particular one does have its problems, but I really prefer it to a distracting touch screen or one with way too many buttons on the back. The actual percussion (and percussions per minute) on this massager is honestly comparable to more expensive massage guns I've used. No excessive force required: just gently graze the muscle and you'll feel the power it can push. And don't balk at the amount of attachments this device comes with. As I've said before in a previous massage gun review: less is more. The included 5 attachment heads are more than enough and offer a good variety if absolutely necessary. The gun itself is far from pocketable, but manages to ride the line between lightweight and substantial. This is definitely a gun you can use one-handed, and I've done just that when working on my midback and calves. The textured grip on the handle is great and the whole device feels very premium. With its size, it might be a little more difficult to get to hard to reach muscles at first, but with a little practice, it should be no problem. The device is also decently quiet. In my very rough decibel test (using an app on my phone), it seemed to stay below 50db even on the highest speed. Not the biggest deal, but still nice that it doesn't sound like a jet taking off every time you switch it on. So yes, this is a great massage gun. But for the price, you should expect that. Would I say that this is worth $100? If you plan on using it relatively often and tend to have pain/stiffness in your muscles, then I would say yes. If you plan on using this infrequently or during a trip, I would suggest getting a more portable massager, which would likely run you a lot cheaper. If none of the cons I listed have deterred you and it's within your budget, this is a great pick for a midrange massage gun.
