Great Boundary Wire Mower
Edit: 06/20/2026. The new unit I had received in October of 2025 still works great. I have had no issues at all. For people wondering if it will do a steep grade. I would definitely say yes! Edit: 10/24/25 My new unit worked perfectly all summer with no issues! Great buy! Highly recommend! Edit 04/09/25 Customer service finally said they would send me a new unit. Not sure how long this will take. Edit and update on 04/04/25: Customer service responds quickly if you need help. Unfortunately my mower stopped working because of the on/off/ok button. No matter how many times or how long I hold the button, I can’t get the button to work. The mower battery is fine. If I take the robot off the dock it lights up with the pin screen showing it has battery power. I can’t access the mower because when I try to type in my pin I can’t use this button. So it’s just sitting there. Customer service said this has never happened, but has yet to resolve it. It’s been four days of back and forth about pushing the same button. I even sent a video of it not working, but they keep sending me the same information on how to start the machine. I luckily purchased an asurion protection plan, so now I’m trying to reach out to them to see if they can fix it or replace it. It really sucks because otherwise the mower did its job. Packaging: Product was well packed and everything was in the box. Mower: Larger than I expected. Not extremely heavy. Purchase: Purchased for Christmas so I had to wait for warmer weather to place the boundary wire down. Boundary wire: I had lots of wire. My yard is 0.25 acres. I used my edger to measure a path using the cardboard ruler that came with the mower. I then put the boundary wire down using the stakes provided as the recommended spacing. I did go around trees and patio. I did not go around my swing set or trampoline. This took me 3 to 4 hours to install. I put the wire in a couple hours at a time. You don’t need to edge it into the lawn, but I wanted it as low as possible so my kids and dog couldn’t rip it out when playing. Mower: Charges quickly. Is very quiet. Had to charge four times to complete the first mow, but I do have it set up to run vertical and then to mow horizontal. I might change this depending on if it’s really needed in the future. I have it mowing from dusk and into the night. Angle: My yard slopes on one side pretty steeply. When I initially set it up it struggled during mapping. Once the mapping was complete the mower has had no problems with the slope in my yard. Obstacles: Trees- I do recommend going around the trees so it doesn’t bounce off them and damage the tree. Swing set- I am undecided if I should put the wire around the swing set. I currently do not have the wire around it and it just bumps into it and goes around. This does cause it to miss a few tiny spots. Trampoline- The legs lay on the grass. I thought the mower would struggle, but it just rides right over the top of them like it’s nothing but a bump in the yard. Speed: Very slow, but who cares. I have it go at night. It’s quiet so no one hears it. It doesn’t disturb my children or dogs at night. I pick up the yard from toys and dog poop before I have it go off. Price- I received this for a great deal during the holiday season. I wish I could have bought the gps no boundary wire mower, but this was a reasonable price.

False Advertising! DO NOT BUY!
BEWARE OF FALSE ADVERTISING! I received the product, it arrived fine and in good condition. I have a relatively flat .23 acre yard. I choose to bury the boundary wire, which took quite some time. I used a power edger, but found that I really needed to go back over it with a manual edger to get a good enough cut to bury the wire. This took around 6-8 hours. After burying the wire and following all instructions, I started the bot which at first goes across the full boundary line. It is EXTREMELY finicky as to the grade of the boundary path, it has to be within 15 degrees, which may seem like a lot but its stopped by a very small slope or even an extra bit of leaves. I spent about 4 days tearing up my yard on hands and knees with a level to make the path perfect so that it would complete the boundary circuit. FINALLY it completed the circuit, just to give me another error "The Boundary wire length or working area are overlimit" so I reduced the size, unearthing the boundary line and cutting off sections of my yard, then back to hands and knees to precisely level the path. I did this three times and still got the same error. 2 weeks of work and it hasn't mowed an inch of grass. Customer support never answered me. If you have a very tiny yard, maybe it works, I wouldn't know. If you are anywhere near 1/5 of an acre, don't buy this, purchase another brand. The fact that they claim Max 180m wire is ridiculous, as i was closer to 130m and it still wont work. I will be returning this, hopefully they don't require the boundary wire back as I buried it. What a pain in the butt after 2 weeks trying to get this thing to work.

Fantastic Value — Clean Grid Lines, Full-Yard Coverage, and Smart Wire Break Detection
I picked up this Anthbot robot lawn mower on sale, and it has easily been one of the best yard purchases I’ve made. For the price, the performance is excellent. It cuts in perfect grid lines, which makes the lawn look incredibly clean and professional when it’s done. And the best part? It can mow my large front yard in a single day without missing spots. The boundary wire is stable and reliable, and the software is surprisingly helpful. I had a break in my wire, and the mower’s built-in diagnostics got me very close to the exact location, making the repair fast and painless. Overall, this mower delivers way more than I expected: great cut quality, efficient full-yard coverage, smart features, and an easy setup. Absolutely worth the money — especially if you catch it on sale. Highly recommended.

Company doesn't back product
The mower worked great until we had a power surge. The company is sold out of the replacement parts and they aren't restocking them.

Great when it works, but experience can vary.
May/June 2025: I was excited to have this take over the mowing now and then. Like others I spent hours burying the line around my less than 1/4 acre lawn. It mowed ok for about 3-4 times, then started giving me false line breaks. I would dig up the wire where the break was located and the line was fine. Replaced a large section anyway and then it would show a break somewhere else. I went through customer service in what’s app. They had me test with separate wires and take video. The unit still registered incomplete circuit. Then the next day the base unit just stopped. I waited a month for customer service to send a new base. I hooked up the new base and it still gives the line break error but then the mower display went unresponsive. September 2025 update: Customer support has been impressive—very responsive and helpful. They provided guidance to try and fix the mower and eventually sent a replacement mower. The new mower is working well so far. Since the grass mowing season is now passed, I will store it for the winter and update this in the spring. Its a 5 star for customer support and the mower itself (when it works), but I knocked it down a bit for the difficulty to get it working fully for me.

Happy to have it, but it has some things that I don't like...
I ordered this in late February. Finally set it up at the beginning of March, have been running it depending on weather. Setup: Running the groundwire was not particularly hard. There was more than enough for my 222 square meter yard. Simply follow the instructions and it's going to be fine. Keep in mind where you are plugging this in as it relates to the location of the doc. Mowing quality: Not consistent. Before the firmware upgrade to v. 0.3.0 on 4/21/2025, it mowed better and did not leave "patches". Since that firmware update, it has left patches and not in consistent places. Software: Schedule: The app updated the 2nd week of April, 2025 and the scheding portion of the app was more human readable. Also the schedule section did not work within the app under schedule until the update. PIN: it's rediculous that I have to physically go out and enter the PIN on the mache to run it and I can't just simply run it using the app until I enter the physical PIN. It's annoying but it's a manageable thing to do. Mapping: It has to map EVERY SINGLE TIME IT RUNS which runs down battery. Also while mapping, it would be efficient if it mowed too, but it doesn't. I was told that the new firrmware update wold fix the need to map every time, but it hasn't. I just don't understand why it needs to map every time because the boundary wire does not move and it could be mowing while its's out mapping. All in all - despite these issues, I'm happy with my purchase. I run it every othe rway and it keeps me from doing a lot of extra mowing yardwork.

Dock died after 2 uses - no US support, no multi‑zone, far behind other brands
Short version: this mower sucks. The dock died after two mowing sessions, the mower now throws E604 and won’t even start, and support only replies once a day between 1–4 AM US time, so every troubleshooting step takes 24 hours. This mower also does NOT support multiple zones, even though nearly every competitor does (Worx, Luba, EcoFlow, Mammotion, Segway Navimow). If your yard has more than one area, this mower simply won’t work. The dock now shows zero LED lights, the mower can’t charge, can’t detect the boundary wire, can’t complete mapping, and can’t even begin mowing. After countless hours of wiring, re‑wiring, splicing, testing, uploading logs, and sending photos, the mower is still unusable. Bottom line: Hardware failure + missing features + overnight‑only support = avoid this mower. I’ll update this review if Anthbot actually fixes the issue.
