For the green wire, do I just screw that right into the case, tape it to the case, what do I do with it?

Screw the green wire to the case considering your wall socket has proper grounding. You also can put some electrical tape over the connector and leave it unused to isolate the connector from touching anything with current to avoid any sparks/short-circuit
