Roomba Killer
I first got the roomba that vacuums and mops a couple months ago. It was horrible. Zero mapping. Incapable of completing a cleaning cycle without constant babysitting. The mouth of the dust bin gets clogged with pet hair every half hour. Gets stuck in places it should be able to navigate. Ultimately did not do its job at all. This Shark Navigator is perfect! It does everything it says it does and it does it extremely well. Battery life is solid even running at max suction (I have found this is best for my dogs hair). I don’t have to babysit it at all. The dust bin has a better design and does not clog. It accurately mapped my floor plan and is able to get 98-99% coverage when it cleans. Its sensors are far superior to the roomba. It never gets stuck and avoids obstacles way better. Highly recommend.

A great little robot vacuum.
We've been very happy with this. We always use it on the highest suction setting, and it does a good job. Even on high it's surprisingly quiet. It only has one lidar unit compared to the more expensive models, but it's been working fine. It pirouettes periodically to double-check where it is, which is kinda cute. I kinda wish it came with a cleaning brush for cleaning the dust bin inside the robot, but we've been using a toothbrush and that works okay. You do want to check the robot's bin regularly, as it can get clogged with debris that doesn't get sucked into the tower bin. We check it about once a week. Next time we get a robot vacuum, we're going to consider one with mopping capability. We named it Suckalux 200.

Horrible app. No support. Dumb as a brick.
I love Shark/Ninja products. I have 2 Shark vacuums. They are great. This is the first product of theirs that I can honestly say I don’t like. I can’t find anything to like. This doesn’t save time. I probably have 8 hours into trying to get the house mapped. The app is worthless and there is no support for the app. I’ve tried multiple times to create rooms. The app will not save them. I identify the rooms, click on save and after a minute the map redisplays without the rooms. The idea is that you can create “rooms” and “zones” for the robot to clean. If you can’t save what you create then what good is it? All I can do is vacuum the entire house. There is no manual or demand clean function other than spot cleaning. You have to schedule it or it’s nothing. The robot itself does not vacuum as advertised. It is supposed to clean in two directions. It only cleans in one. The “Matrix” function is available only for spot cleaning and that’s limited to a 5 foot by 5 foot area. The direction constantly changes depending on the mood of the robot. The robot is easily confused by furniture…like dining room tables. Area rugs confuse it. Doors confuse it (it keeps trying to get in behind the open door). It will try to climb floor lamps. It will try to climb furniture. Any piece of furniture that is has legs the robot will try desperately to knock it over to get underneath it. I guess if you have a completely open floor plan with little or no furniture, no kids, no pets, and you don’t where shoes then I think it might work. If your home is split level…forget it! Apparently Shark wants you to purchase a 2nd robot. Apparently there is a “merge” function for mapping but it doesn’t work. No explanation for what it might do. I’m not really sure that this unit is all that useful. In the time I’ve spent mapping and remapping the floor plan and trying to create rooms, and following the robot around I could have vacuumed the entire house several times manually. My house is 1800 square feet and I only mapped half of the house. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes to do one full sweep of the mapped area. It used 70% of the battery. It’s loud enough, more from it bumping into everything to find where it’s at, that running it while you sleep is out of the question. At this point I’m not even going to try the mopping function. So back it goes.

Mopper not great
Overall its a great bot but the thing that is killing me is the mopper. First of all poorly made. Mopper broke, called in, they had to replace the whole unit, and the second unit broke too. I went in and fixed it myself, seems the trouble is the super cheap water pump it uses. Seems to be a third party part which is only a water pump and bought cheaply by shark from another company. It is NOT a vacuum cleaner part. The place I think they buy this pump from is not a vacuum parts company. Just saying cheaply made but expensive in price, this shark. This pump gets gunked up pretty easy and then the water starts to streak and does not go on the floor well. I drilled bigger holes in the pump but it still gets some issues, bad design. Even if it worked right, its still a bad mop. Just smears dirt around and cleans nothing. I marvel at how dirty my floors look. I am just buying a different unit. Even if the mop worked perfect the mop design is still quite inferior and i want my damn floors clean. So people with maybe not so much to mop or are just interested in vacuuming, then this unit is excellent, has a lot a nice features and navigates well. Darn thing vacuums much better than i could, and i do adore that part of it. Thing vacuums great. So what are my suggestions for the mopper? Dual spinning mopping pads. Actually scrub the floors. None of this Sonic Mopping bs. The sonic mopper actually breaks a lot. Much more complex than a motor which just needs to spin, but the skark mech uses that poor water pump to shake the plate back and forth. Water flow breaks then the whole thing break. Spinny motorized pads? Those wont break and better design. Have unit periodically return to base to clean the pads. Stop smearing dirt and actually remove dirt. Make sure the unit accepts proper mopping fluid, its CRAZY we have all these fancy bot moppers that cant take proper fluid. Sure shark had its own fluid but what if u want to use floor shining fluid or whatever? A proper mopper must accept proper mopping fluid! Your use of any kind of fluid even sharks will increases chances the pump slows down, but i am pretty sure just plain ol water will too as contaminates will still get into the water(its….running around on dirty floors so yea). Cmon people, surely you studied mopping issues before designing the unit, yes? This mopper does not address the basic use cases for mopping, such as i need to get the dirt of my floors. How did you think this unit would do that when you designed it? Normally i would not make such a big deal here but look at the price tag for the price you pay you want it to work. Wouldnt be a big deal for a cheap unit but for this thing and its price tag, you need it to do as advertised, but it does not

Way Better Than Roomba!
My husband first bought me an updated Roomba that had the mop/vacuum combo for Mother’s Day. He bought a brand new one but they shipped him a refurbished one. We contacted them and they said try it out and if we want to keep it, they’ll refund the difference. The mop feature never worked and it wouldn’t map out my house or let me create rooms. So, we sent it back and got a full refund and looked at other options. We wound up with the Shark vac/mop combo with the same self emptying bin (but has no bags to buy like Roomba). Oh.my.gosh! This brand is SOOOO much better than Roomba. I can create carpet zones, no go zones, and the set up and instructions are in the app unlike Roomba where you have to download the instructions separately from the app. PLUS, you can adjust the suction of the vacuum and intensify the mop. AND Shark has a heppa filter which is extremely important with my son’s allergies. Roomba needs to catch up!! They have zero no go zones or carpet zones for mopping. And they require you to purchase bags for the self empty bin. I’ll never go back to a Roomba!

It’s great when it actually works 🙄
First off I would like to say that I’ve owned many shark products and I’ve been happy with them. So first off, I will say I really love how well this vacuum cleans my floors. My husband was really skeptical at first, but enjoys the fact that he could no longer feel sand on his feet from our LVP flooring. But beyond that the vacuum cleaner has so many technical bugs that it’s hard to really enjoy. I’ve had to reboot multiple times and remap multiple times to get it to work correctly. Just when I think that I’ve got it worked out, it goes crazy again and can’t find its base or get stuck, or it thinks that I need to empty its base when I just did. This is just an example of a few of the problems I’ve had but is not all of them. I think I have spent more time trying to troubleshoot than the vacuum has actually spent vacuuming my house. If I was still within the return window, I would send it back in order a different product. Shark if you’re reading this your vacuums vacuum great, but your technology is lousy.

Awesome robot sweeper at a great price
This is so easy to set up. I love that it vacuums all the dirt when vacuum returns to charger. Then you can empty the dirt cup. I like the way you can schedule the vacuum to clean. Then it shows a report of where it cleaned and how long it took. If battery is too low while cleaning, it will return to charger, then finish vacuuming when charged.

Okay at best
Key notes: mapping accuracy 2/5, Mopping feature 1/5, Vacuum feature 4/5 Noise Level 4/5, Battery Capacity 4/5, Cross Section Vacuuming 2/5, Value for Money 3/5 This is the Second robot Vacuum I have owned and I thought buying a name brand means I would be getting my moneys worth, however I don’t know that I did. Being able to have the house routinely cleaned through the week is definitely something I like with a busy lifestyle, however that’s kind of the idea with all of the brands on the market. The mapping technology at least on this model seems subpar, I previously had an Eufy and was much happier with its ability to map out my living space and its ability to show me step by step where it has cleaned in my house. The Shark shows you the “general area” but if it gets stuck or stopped while you are not paying attention good luck figuring out what it has cleaned, you might as well have it redo the whole house. It’s good at detecting larger objects but if you are standing in its path when it get close to you it will completely spaz out trying to figure out what to do once you move out of it’s way. The ability to do cross sections while cleaning does sound great until you realize it can only do it to a room at a time or a small area when requested. The mopping feature is okay for what it is. This is my second model with this style mop pad and it does operate slightly better. Just know that this does not truly mop the area, instead it drags the mop behind itself as it goes which kinda of cleans the floors. You would be better off using a swifter wet jet and cleaning up areas yourself. You first need to run a vacuum cycle then switch out to the mop pad and let it run again. Now I can understand that this is not a item that should be used as a “does your cleaning for you device” but the hype of the idea of a moping device should be a side not and not a main feature. If you really want a robot with the ability to mop opt for one that has a spinning mop pad. I have had this one for somewhere around 6 months and the brush roll has broken…? Not sure how or why but in one of the ends of which the brush roll can be taken apart to be cleaned the plastic has broken. It almost looks like someone heated up the plastic and redesigned the look of it, hard to explain. I have been happy with the battery life, mine vacuums around 1200-1500sq feet and it does it with ease and I believe I could get up to 2000sq ft in the eco or even normal vacuum mode. Even with the power mode it does not have to charge durning cleaning. It is quite quiet and I typically only hear it in the room I am in or when it is coming to my room which I am happy with, even though I have it scheduled to run while I am not home it is nice to not have it loud on my off days. Conclusion: if I had the opportunity again I would have spent a little bit more money and gone a different direction whether I was looking for a vacuum or vacuum mop combo. I would spend the little bit more money to go for a model with the spinning mop pads in my scenario.

Excelente Producto.

Great
Excellent. Programs floor plan, able to control from phone and do individual rooms. Doesn’t run against baseboards as some older systems did. Highly recommend

Limited suction power
Have to use highest power of suction or it won't pick up anything. Difficult to adjust room perimeters. Have to remove loose type floor mats but it negotiates other types of floor mats well. Finding a 'home' for it is a challenge due to the clearance requirements. Impressed with how it solves problems getting around obstacles and finding its way home.
