Completely solved my backyard Wi-Fi issues
Iโve been through my fair share of routers over the years, and I have to say the Amazon eero Outdoor WiFi 7 has been a really pleasant surprise. I was a little hesitant at first because outdoor networking equipment can be hit or miss, but this one has exceeded my expectations. First off, the setup was incredibly easy. Iโm pretty tech savvy but Iโve definitely dealt with routers in the past that made me want to pull my hair out with complicated configuration screens and confusing instructions. Not this one. The eero app walked me through everything step by step and I had it up and running in maybe 15 minutes. No digging through manuals, no googling error codes, just a smooth process from start to finish. I really appreciated that. The build quality feels solid. You can tell this thing is meant to be outside. Itโs got a nice heft to it and the housing feels like it can handle whatever weather comes its way. We get a lot of rain here in Florida and Iโve had it installed for a few weeks now with no issues whatsoever. No moisture problems, no overheating, nothing. It just sits there and does its job. Performance has been rock solid. I mainly got this to extend coverage out to my backyard and garage area where my old setup was really struggling. Before, Iโd be lucky to get one or two bars on my phone when I was out by the patio, and streaming anything was basically impossible. Now Iโm getting full signal strength pretty much everywhere on my property. I can work from my back porch, the kids can use their tablets outside, and Iโve even got solid coverage out in the garage now which is great for when Iโm working on projects out there and want to throw on some music or a podcast. WiFi 7 is definitely a step up if you havenโt upgraded in a while. Everything just feels faster and more responsive. I notice it most when multiple people are doing different things at once. Before, if someone was streaming a movie while someone else was on a video call and another person was gaming, things would get choppy. Now it handles all of that without breaking a sweat. Iโm not going to pretend I understand all the technical stuff behind it, but whatever theyโre doing under the hood is working. The mesh integration with my other eero devices inside the house was seamless too. It all just works together as one network so Iโm not juggling different SSIDs or dealing with dead zones as I move around. My phone switches between nodes automatically and I never notice any dropoffs or lag when it happens. If I had to nitpick, Iโd say the price is a little steep, but honestly for outdoor rated equipment with this kind of performance, itโs probably in line with what youโd expect. And considering how frustrating bad wifi can be, Iโd rather just spend the money once and have something that works reliably than cheap out and end up replacing it in a year. Overall Iโm really happy with this purchase. It solved the exact problem I bought it for, setup was painless, and itโs been working flawlessly since day one. If you need to extend your wifi coverage outdoors and want something thatโs easy to set up and just works, Iโd definitely recommend giving this one a look. No regrets here.โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ

Extends my connectivity to devices
If you already run an eero mesh system and need robust, high-speed coverage for patios, garages, or sprawling yards, the eero Outdoor 7 delivers unmatched ease of use and weatherproof reliability. Just be aware youโre paying a premium for dual-band Wi-Fi 7 performance and app-only managementโif you need true tri-band or 6 GHz support, consider other outdoor APs. But for seamless integration and rock-solid outdoor connectivity, itโs tough to beat. I use it to connect my WiFi security cameras and I am able to have a solid connection with this system. I can also stream movies, sports games and TV shows on our patio and in the garage now. Pros: -Massive Outdoor Coverage: One unit blankets up to 15,000 sq ft of yard, patio, garage, or outbuilding spaceโeliminating dead zones and extending your network to remote areas like barns, garage and patios. -Reliable Outdoor Performance: Delivers consistent speeds (often 350โ450 Mbps in real-world tests) even under trees or across lawns. -Easy Installation: PoE+ injector and AC options mean you can mount it high and far without running multiple cables. -Smart-Home Hub Ready: Integrates with Thread, Matter, and Zigbee devices when paired with the eero PoE gateway. -Durable & Low-Maintenance: IP66 housing and rugged build let you โset it and forget itโ year-round. Cons: Entry-Level Wi-Fi 7: Lacks the 6 GHz bandโonly supports 2ร2 on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, so itโs not as future-proof as tri-band outdoor APs . -Pricey: The WiFi router is substantially more expensive than many Wi-Fi 6 outdoor extenders. -No Local Web UI: Configuration and diagnostics are limited to the eero appโpower users may miss a full web-based interface.

Easy to set up and effectively extended outdoor wifi
Simple setup and great solution to extend wifi to an outbuilding. Line of sight from receiver to transmitter distance of 120 feet provided strong wifi signal to the entire outbuilding. Tied in Ring cameras for a much better perimeter security coverage. Not cheap but effective and good value for the money - running outdoor LAN cable would have a significant cost too and a whole lot more complicated.

Great product with some small issues
Does the job. Some software updates require system resets and cause stability issues, but throughput is great nearing 1 GB/s.

Works great - with PoE+ injector
I ran a long CAT6 out to a pavilion. You need to power the cord, but easily done with an injector. Came online immediately.

Great outdoor addition to an eero system!
I added this to my eero 6E mesh system and it works great. I have a pond thermometer and wifi lights all over my back yard and this sends a wifi signal to everything. I have 4 out if 4 bars of signal strength everywhere on my property. I love the monthly updates to the eero software, they're very easy to keep all my wifi system current, up to date, and secure. I recommend eero to all my friends and family.

Awesome!
Awesome product. My neighbors want my password as they see better signal from 100โ at their home on my system than their own! Love having awesome coverage outside my home front, back and in between. No more issues with my outdoor cameras! Note. Educating about the product setup and placement is paramount to success. Ai gronk or ChatGPT can help.

Eero 7 works great
Install was easy, I have all eero 7 units, 3 in house, Now this 1 outside mounted on vinyl siding, on back patio, 13 feet high. Covers my whole 2 acres. Only thing you'll need to get are vinyl wire clip holders that dont come with it, To hold rest of cable to siding. So far it works well. Will drop signal to 1 acres off and on. Do to im running it wireless. Summer is will connect it via ethernet cable to insure better coverage.
