The Sports Hat

Not sure if this is the same brand that made Norm Macdonald's iconic "SPORTS" hat, but it's close enough for me. Well made, adjustable size, comfortable (the mesh on the sides and back is a really helpful feature when you're sweating through ten months of the year on the Gulf Coast), and it's priced right. The stitching on the logo is well done too. If you're like me - and Norm - and you need a cap for when you're not specifically repping one of your football, baseball, basketball, or NCAA teams, this is your hat. It lets the world know that you most definitely root for Sports. Since I've begun wearing this hat, I've been invited to zero gender reveals, and nobody has tried to strike up a conversation about Love Island. I have, however, been invited into many conversations where we all just say the names of classic running backs and go "heck yeah, man." The benefit to my quality of life in this respect cannot be overstated. This hat is magic.

Wanted to find a gag gift for my brother and had to get this hilarious “Sports” hat. It was a hit and he always gets reactions from it when he wears it out so got myself one too. LOL. After wearing it to several games and events, here’s are my thoughts: Pros: - Well-made, comfortable fitted hat that looks legit - The irony cracks me up and others who get the Norm reference - Also funny in a generally ironic way to non-Norm fans - Adjustable size fits my big head nicely - Works for any sport - no team loyalty needed! Cons: - Came with a sticker inside the brim that left residue I love busting this hat out whenever I want to show vague “support” for sports in general. The quality and comfortable fit exceeds novelty hats. It sparks conversations from fellow Norm fans and ironic laughs from everyone. I almost wish more people realized it’s “sports” not a team logo at first glance. For any Cheers or general comedy fans, this is the perfect incognito sports hat! Hope this review helped!

I love this silly hat. It is comfortable and high quality. The back is adjustable, ensuring a good fit. I've received a ton of compliments (and laughs) when I've worn this for my students' various events.

Seriously though, this hat is well made and fits great. It’s obviously funny to people that know about Norm, but it’s also funny in a generally ironic way. Only gripe is it comes with a sticker on top of the brim that leaves some sticky residue, but I was able to clean it off with some soap and hot water.

Red is small. Fits terribly and rough from the inside and not comfortable. Don't waste your money.
