Vauen Briar Pipe Uncarved Block

Dang this thing is hard to carve with a pocket knife. It is dense wood. That is a good thing you are going to be burning stuff in it. If you want a finished product in a few days then you need to use a dremel.

It is exactly what the description says it is, a block of wood with the wholes cut and a stem ready for you to carve and shape it into what every your heart desires. The reason I am giving it three stars is because it is advertised from the pictures as a straighter stem then what they sent. I was hoping for less of a bend. It is easy enough to change out and in the end It fits the pipe i carved. So whatever. It was just not what I was looking for when I bought it.

This is my 5th uncarved pipe. So far I have made a ram, a dragon (belches smoke!), a tugboat, a house, and a cauldron. Haven't figured out what to do with the last one, but I am enjoying thinking about it.

I've been whittling this down in my spare time for about 3 months now, and it's coming along great! It's a decent quality block of Briar, and the pre-drilled holes are very convenient, as I don't have a drill press to do my own. It's a very fun side project, and I can't wait to finish it and have a nice relaxing smoke!

This arrived on time. I gifted it to my father in law, an avid pipe smoker who has never shaped his own. He loved it. Simple, clean, good buy.

I bought two of these, theyre great the reason im giving it a 2 star is because one of the blocks was actually cracked from the side.
