Andrew Robson's Essential Bridge Flipper

The flip book is great whilst starting to learn bridge. It is easily indexed and is easy to follow. Crucially it is in sections that do not over face a beginner as they are progressing. Well recommended.

Andrew Robson's bridge flipper is excellent ,and his Convention's flipper is also brilliant both go well with each other .Easy to understand ,so easy to carry in your bag and so practical and informative Highly recommend them both for regular bridge players

I still need to start lessons on September but I'm sure that it will be a big help. Concise and easystems to find each step. I hopenjoyed to learn from it before and during the lessons.

Clear & easy to use & helps with understanding the 'mysteries' of playing Bridge!

When learning the game, it is vital to have a quick and clear reference/reminder. Some clubs where "learners" are encouraged to join, to have this is so very useful. Clearly it depends upon the level of expertise of members of the club. I have been playing(and always learning) for about 8 yrs., but it is still useful in keeping abreast of modern developments.

I am a big fan of Andrew Robson's bridge books and I find this flipper really good. However, I find it surprising given the wide range of topics dealt with, that Robson omits the nowadays commonly used Red Transfer bids in response to a 1NT opening (ie showing an unbalanced hand with a 5 Cards major by bidding 2D, 2H, with McKendrick for 2S). I very much like the way the flipper deals with much more than just the bidding - it has pages dealing with playing and defending. Highly recommended by me. But I should add that I am far from being a bridge expert - rather a keen beginner.
