Great bag for the price. Flying on Frontier for a weekend trip and wanting to avoid the carryon fees (that would be about 50% of the round-trip fare), I needed a personal-size (no more than 18"H) expandable bag that could carry about 30L (IMO the sweet spot for volume on a weekend bag). There are few bags that meet both my size and volume criteria. What I especially liked about the bag is that I packed it in the expanded mode, then compressed the bag by using the expansion zipper (and compression straps). No issues fitting in the sizing box. My only concern will be the durability of the bag. But at the price (I paid just over $40), I got my ROI on the first trip. For the budget minded infrequent flyer this is a great bag to have in your closet.

Bag is great! Roomy and well made. Can’t wait to use. You won’t be disappointed. It’s as large as any small rolling carryon, but better!! It can pass for your 1 personal item on most airlines.Just but it! I purchased 4 already! Will make a great gift!

This luggage/ backpack worked well for my 10 day trip in Europe. It withstood the in and out of 8 flights and portage for 6 hotels. The handle was strong enough to hold the 40 pounds I creamed into it, and the zippers continue to work without a hitch. The backpack straps were comfortable and strong, and stowed easily for stowing on the plane. The only things that could be improved were the lack of interior separate compartments, and the multiple flat outer compartments that couldn't hold much. I should have gotten a larger one that could hold more and would have still fit in the planes carry on compartment.

A perfect US airline personal item sized bag with well thought out pockets! The diagonal pockets are much deeper than you’d expect. Nice large laptop compartment with separate padded laptop sleeve that is about an inch (~2cm) from the bottom so your laptop will not hit the ground first when you set down the bag. Main compartment is spacious with some nice zipper storage for small toiletries or a hand towel etc. Front pocket behind the diagonal pockets is perfect for traveling with documents and the small pocket on the side could fit a passport but I honestly don’t use that pocket, wish it was on the top, not the side. (Not absolutely necessary but remember the travel hack of using some compression packing cubes for even more luggage in the same space)Finally a bag of very sufficient size as is for a weekend in the winter or a week in the summer — that expands to the max personal item size on most US airlines! Away with those bags that expand the depth from a 5 inch to a 10 inch bag and become unusable for air travel!

BUY IT.I needed a travel backpack that was compact enough for Allegiant airline’s guidelines but also carry enough stuff. This bag is everything I wanted. There’s a plethora of little pockets for all your stuff. I love that it opens up like a suitcase. It fits under the seat in front of you (see photo) and just makes travel so easy. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a weekend getaway bag. I’m 5’4 140lbs and easily fit 4 outfits in this bag plus room to bring home the anticipated travel souvenir sweatshirt. I didn’t even have the extension on.

I have a 3 day trip planned for NY coming up and when I tell you this backpack is PERFECT for avoiding carry on costs, ITS PERFECT! Just buy it! Very pleased!

The description said this would fit most airlines as carry on and I found it did on the two different airlines I took recently.It is well designed and I like all the zippered pockets. Works well as a backpack and the hand to carry and strap so you can attach to handle of a rolling suitcase work fine. Im happy with the purchase.
