Half the price of the original J.B. Prince Kunz Spoon and "just as good." I bought both, got this one first and loved it instantly. When the original came, you could tell slight differences when side-to-side ... the original is slightly more refined, maybe 2% better ... but not worth twice the price. This spoon will last you forever. It's a great size - bigger than typical serving spoons. Great present for a friend who cooks, or yourself!

New York Times Wirecutter section did a rave review of Kunz spoons. I bought one to try. Surprise, surprise. They are truly as useful as suggested. The mainstream version is 2.5 X larger than a tablespoon. The size, shape and balance makes them great for finish basting on seared steaks, portion control when used for plating sides, and as general serving spoons If you don't cook, they may not mean a lot. But if you spend enough time at the stove, you have to appreciate the number of things these spoons can do for you.

Spoons well

The spoon is perfect for all kitchen chores, just the right size for stirring soups, sauces and even salads. So handy it's the tool I reach for any time I am cooking.

Even though I read the dimensions, before ordering, when this thing arrived, I was really taken aback back by how HUGE it is. I use it, sure, but not as much as I thought I would; it’s just too big for a lot of the smaller batch cooking that I do. However, when it does come in to play, it works great because of the high volume it can scoop up (flour for doughs is its primary use around here).

Absolutely lovely. Weighted perfectly and sauces professionally. Amazing how much difference a simple spoon can make. Fun fact - Noticed it being used by a chef on an award winning television show!

Please be aware that is a knockoff of the original Kunz spoon. That aside, this spoon has all the features of the original. It seems well made - stainless steel. I will still enjoy working with it.
