I like this chair, it is comfortable and looks good. It can be adjusted for height and if you have a small space it does not have to be moved for you to get in or out, it swings round on its wheels.

Looks like leather, feels like leather, smell like leather and if was any more leather it would moo. Had this chair a week and it’s very comfortable. The only thing I would add is to ignore the assembly instruction steps as it is difficult to assemble the chair following them. To assemble this thing on your own first lay the chair back on a table and loosely bolt on the arms, then slide in the seat in and bolt that to the arms. Tighten all the bolts then follow the assembly instruction to assemble and attach the stand.

This is the 4th office chair (for home use) that I've purchased from Amazon. The previous 3 were PU fake leather which started to peel, the most recent one quite badly and after only a short time!! The Alphason office chair is bonded leather, not full-grain leather, and appears to be well made. It is quite straight forward to put together - just make sure the screws screw in okay first before you offer up the arm or seat for fixing, and use those same screws.

This item clearly states that it is leather in the description, it has just been delivered and it is definitely not leather. Very cross but is too much hassle to return, really annoyed. Update, 6th Aug 2020 - having used this chair for 8 hours a day working from home for the last 4 months can now report that the foam on the seat has gone completely flat and is now very uncomfortable, have had to buy a cushion to put on top. Definitely not suitable for all day use, do not recommend.

Office use 8 hrs a day this chair is quality i did try two budget chairs others before both had issues and faults and had to be returned. This chair is not cheap but it is quality which is what you are paying for .

I bought this chair in December 2011. It's quite comfortable and offers reasonable adjustments although the seatback angle cannot be adjusted relative to the base. The result is that quite a lot of stress can be put on the arms of the chair when it is reclined because the arms lock the seatback and seat base into a fixed position relative to each other. The arms are just plastic with a leather pad on top and don't look or feel particularly sturdy. After 27 months of daily use the left arm rest fractured. This initiated at a weak point where the front part of the armrest is bolted to the base. When this failed, the rear part of the arm rest fractured in quick succession and the seat back collapsed backwards and to one side. The specification states "Heavy duty gas lift - 154kg (25 stones)". I'm no lightweight but at 100kg am well within that limit. Maybe the gas lift part of this chair is heavy duty and suitable for 154kg but the rest of the chair is much less sturdy. With hindsight, looking at the design, the weak point is fairly obvious but I trusted the specification. As the warranty is just 12 months I have no rights to any redress. I would expect an office chair to last longer than 27 months and would suggest that Alphason redesigns it to overcome this weakness. Until it is redesigned I wouldn't recommend this product but the leather and upholstery are of reasonable quality and comfort so I've given it two stars. According to the Alphason web site this chair is stated to comply with "BS EN 1355 - Strength" but when I look this up it turns out to be a standard for "Determination of creep strains under compression of autoclaved aerated concrete or lightweight aggregate concrete with open structure". As far as I can tell there is no concrete in the structure of this chair.

Nice comfortable chair and looks nice. Was tricky to put together and some of the parts came defective and needed adjustment.

easy to put together although instructions are very basic. good solid pieces and very comfortable.
