This is a quality product from INGEAR. It is a super sturdy device that can light up a large space or room. It can definitely be used as a worklight as it is super bright. The flashlight mode is activated by a button on the top and if you slide it open the worklight mode is activated where it puts out a very bright light. The magnets in the base make it very easy to attach it to any metal in a vertical or horizontal position. The magnetic base rotates 360 degrees and has a flexible hook that can be used to hang it in a variety of positions. This is a handy light to take with you on a road trip, for camping, for any power outages and more. It comes with 3 AA batteries needed for operation.

I had purchased a ingear slide flashlight a couple of years ago at home depot for 10.00 dollars.Best work light i have ever had, being magnetic it is fantastic for working on cars,and many more aplications . Had to have another one as a spare could not find them anywhere, was able to find it on amazon,was suprised to see a cost of 40.oo dollars.however purchased it anyway.everyone who sees it in action marvels at it. you should make it avalible at more stores at about 25.00 it would sell like hotcakes. As iam auto mechanic.and many mechanic friends of mine when they see it ask where i bought it. However they shy away when they hear the price.All in all a great product.

Have had this for about 8 months now. Really like it. Would recommend it and would by another. Using it in the shop when repairing machines. The magnet holds well and since most of the machines are metal, I can just about mount this any place I need it and get light where needed. Battery operated so I don't have to worry about finding an outlet or an electrical cord in the way. The unit has held up well over the 8 months. No issues. Why 4 stars? It is bright, but I would like it to be brighter. However, even if it was 50% brighter, I would probably still be saying the same thing. When working on machinery, there is no such thing as too bright a light.

EDIT: Now that I've had this light for a while, I can report still love the brightness and overall form-actor. It loses a star (from my original 4-star review) however as I too have had problems with the light not *quite* snapping closed or locking open. Lacking a locking mechanism is a terrible oversight--turning a 5-star product into a so-so performer. This is a super-bright and flexible flashlight. The rubber seems very rugged, although I would have preferred that this or a similar model was available in a heavy "tactical" metal--though I could find no such device. One other reviewer noted that the slide doesn't "click" in place and is only held open by friction and worried that this might affect durability over the long-run. I have had no problems with it thus far at all, but I do think that this is a reasonable concern for the future; I too would trust it more if it's slide locked open. Otherwise, I highly recommend this flashlight for what it is and for its very reasonable price.

My favorite flashlight!!! This thing is super convenient! I have to work in dark work spaces sometimes and the hook, magnets and swivel base have been absolute life savers. I only wish there was a rechargeable version to save on AAs. I own two of these. One for work and one for my car.
