my everything machine
so far this seems to have been a great choice the plan was this laptop would replace tablet, laptop and power house pc in my office right out of the box has achieved the laptop and tablet objectives up in my office with the addition of a docking station connecting everything to the laptop via a thunderbolt cable and port, i am achieving the use of wired connection to 2 x external touch screens x 23", 2 x large capacity external drives, the ethernet, external speakers, the printer and scanner, an external keyboard and mouse. it allows me work and back everything to local only drives and the machine to be 3 separate computers in one giving me the freedom of a light and mobile system that is also my home and powerhouse pc when needed with all my data in one place accessible when ever i need it, so pleased at the moment

DO NOT BUY, poor quality, bad support, demand of repeated repair cost for known defect
I have been a Samsung user for many years and have had a great eco-system of products. I was excited to add the latest laptop computer to my product list, what a mistake. I bought the laptop in April 25, by July of the same year the screen cracked whilst I was simply typing away on the the keyboard. Spoke to Samsung about this and they insisted that the damage was user error and not covered under warranty and that they go through rigorous testing bla, bla, bla... I was told I have to pay for the screen replacement - £400! In October (when I was able to return to the UK) I duly sent my laptop for this costly service to an authorised service centre. This took 10 days without my laptop, and it came back wiped of data (why this was needed for a screen replacement I have no idea, but never mind.. Now, on the 1st December (some 6 weeks after the replacement screen) the screen cracked again, exactly the same way, I was just typing away and it checked in front of my eyes, top to bottom. I reported this to Samsung and guess what, my fault again as per them, and I will need to pay for another replacement screen, so another £400. Samsung would not shift on this. I have escalated it to their complaints team and still waiting for someone to email me about this. For me this product purchase has completely ruined the Samsung brand. If you do a simple google search for this laptop and cracked screens you can see many examples of customers who have had the same problem, yet Samsung have done nothing about it, well apart from charge their valued customer hundreds of pounds to repair a defective piece of hardware. My advice, look for an alternative brand of laptop until such time that Samsung admit there is a problem with this one and recall it for a proper fix.

An excellent business laptop, with Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 2 CPU / ARC graphics
I originally intended to buy an ASUS Zenbook S16, but bought the Samsung instead: more on that story later. Price aside, it will probably suit many people, except if you're a gamer. Not that it's slow, the whole vibe is accomplished ability. Set to optimum performance, I couldn't hear it. Charging has the switchable option to limit it to 80% to prolong battery life, but I doubt it would run 20+ hours on battery. The 16-inch touch screen has a 16/10 aspect ratio, and my eyes didn't tire, working all day with the dynamic refresh screen. You can't miss the huge touchpad that works well. Although it has palm reject that works, an absent-minded very light touch with a fingertip can activate functions. The camera has good definition and a wide view suitable for meeting with several people in the room. It runs beautifully with Windows 11. It replaces my wife's long-term Microsoft Surface Book that won't upgrade to Windows 11, and she won't let me modify it so that it will. Moving files from Surface Book to the Samsung should have been easy with the Samsung Switch app, or Microsoft's file migration function. Unfortunately, only a few files and settings transferred; probably due to Windows 10 being a Local Account, and the Samsung running Windows 11 on a Microsoft registered account: ongoing work on that one. My self-built computers are fast, air cooled ASUS motherboards with Intel K range CPUs. Somehow, the AMD powered Chinese mini-computers developed faults and were all returned to Amazon. My Samsun Tablets have all been reliable, so this laptop is a half-way house. I recommend this laptop, with a reservation about the retail price. If you get it at a good discount, it could be a good buy. Update 29 June 2025 If you've ever updated a BIOS, you'll have known that anxiety before it re-boots: have I bricked it? Then ASUS introduced loading the new BIOS onto a USB, renaming it with a .cap extension, and waiting for the green flashing LED to go out. Samsung have gone one better. A firmware update arrived with other updates, and I loaded those first. A message reminded me that for a BIOS update I needed 25% battery and the battery charger to be plugged in and working. Reboot, a progress bar along the bottom of the screen, then the new BIOS rebooted. I'm really impressed; pity that it's my wife's laptop. The dilemma now is whether I update the ASUS router mesh with a second ET12, or a BQ16. Update 21 July 2025 It seems that Device Care has superseded Samsung Update. That's confusing, as Samsung Update lists loads of updates, whereas Device Care can say no updates are needed. Perhaps Samsung would like to remove the update from the Microsoft App Store.

I have the laptop for almost a month and I can't find anything wrong. It's doing the job. Very happy with the purchase( managed to have a 500 pounds discount as well)
