I don’t write love letters to appliance... but if I did, this Shark air purifier would be the main character. I keep the 650 sq. ft. unit in my bedroom, and I can’t stress this enough: it’s amazing. Like 'how did I live with out this' amazing. Im a home cook who loves to pan fry and occasionally burn things with my air fryer, so the air in my house gets real. But the second this thing senses even the slightest shift in air quality, it kicks into high gear. Auto mode is where the magic lives, I don’t touch a thing, it just knows 🦈✨ What really got me was the first time I styled my hair. The purifier went bright red 🔴 I thought it was broken. Nope! it was reacting to my hair products and heat styling. Which frankly, is terrifying but also kind of iconic. It knows things I don’t want to know, like how much air pollution I cause just by existing. And during wildfire season on the West Coast? This thing is a superhero 🦸♀️ The air quality dips, and the purifier responds instantly. The fan ramps up, the lights shift, and I can actually feel the difference. It’s dramatic in all the right ways. The fact that the filter lasts five years? That’s the cherry on top 🍒 I don’t have to subscribe to anything, order replacements, or even think about it. I just wipe down the outer screen once in a while, and that’s it. Easy, free, and low maintenance, which is right up my alley. And despite all the heavy lifting it does, it’s whisper quiet. I’m a light sleeper and even on high settings, it doesn’t bother me. The lights dim too, so no glowing spaceship effect at night 🌙 Just clean, quiet air while I sleep. I loved it so much, I bought the larger 1400 sq. ft. version for downstairs. No hesitation. This thing sold me on Shark for life. Is it cheap? No. But it’s worth every single penny 💸 It’s efficient, smart, and doesn’t ask for much. If you cook, style your hair, live near wildfire zones, or, you know... breathe! this is your sign. Get one. Your lungs will thank you! Approved by my lungs, my sleep schedule, and my standards 😌🛏️

Bought to help with my allergies but also to help control smoke, odors in a tightly built new home with a cheap built in hood exhaust fan. Have not used the air scent infuser. House frequently at no need to filter according to purifier's read out (surprised at that-but just knowing that is good). I guess the air is filtered well by air filter in furnace/air conditioner (I do use hi grade filter) and the tight new home construction helps as well. If open windows or doors more then it will kick more often. Does work hard when cooking for awhile and air improves over time. Subjectively my allergies, sinuses do seem to have less trouble but hard to assess that but usually I get a sinus infections 1-2x year this time none but I have been aggressive with early Netti Pot intervention as well so....? Hey surely the purifier is helping some too? Or at least the tightly built home and high end air filter? So to me this purifier is just another tool in my sinus allergy battle BUT the purifier does help with odors, smoke for sure from cooking. I do move it to different rooms at times too but mainly in my open kitchen/living room area. I do not have a pet (allergies to animal fur) so do not know how it works with that but I believe a different model suggested for that purpose but I forget.

I've had this running continuously in a downstair/basement apartment for several months, and I'm quite impressed. Occasionally if it kicks in when detecting a lot of sudden dust/smoke/vape or whatever, it can be kind of loud, but it's not an overly annoying sound, so even those brief times are no problem. Very quiet, easy to clean every couple months, reliable. I have no interest in the scent pod feature, so I can't give an opinion there.

This thing just keeps on chugging! Its easy to use (the interface is simple), filters last a fair amount of time, the main filters are easy to change and source, and the pre-filter screens are super simple to clean and replace. It helped my family get through the winter without catching the ick. Hands down, the best air purifier I've ever had.

This is a great product!. The only caveat I found was that if you run a humidifier, the sensor will always show bad air quality as it is recognizing the minerals in the water droplets. That part blows but I only use humidifier in the winter so it is what it is.
