Since the backings with the disc may sometimes be beneficial, why wouldn't everyone get them instead of the plain gold/platinum?

I have owned both the Chrysmelia with and without the disc.  I wore my first pair without the disc for a year and loved it however one day while taking it off it slipped out of my hands and fell down my sink drain.  My second pair I got the disc so that if it did slip it wouldn't fall down my drain.  I think they are comfortable with or without the disc.  You won't regret the purchase

How big are they? (dimensions in millimeters).  Do they weigh more than the butterfly friction catch?

Will these work on 8m old Gbabys earrings? Threaded post/screw on backs but she's still losing backs. We paid alot so we dont want her to lose them

Hi.  We totally understand.  Due to our high-tech precision technology, in general, we’d recommend Chrysmela to anyone who understands the lock-and-unlock mechanism.   In your baby’s case,  you’d be the best judge.

Chrysmela provides very secure protection of most earrings with straight posts, including screw/threaded posts.  As described in our brochure and online product pages, an earring is released when Chrysmela is unlocked by pulling the end plate with fingernails.    Do you think your baby may figure out how to unlock chrysmela,  either unintentionally or intentionally?    Chrysmela is hypoallergenic.   However, if the earring itself and the post are not hypoallergenic, it may cause a little irritation and makes the wearer to rub the earlobes and accidentally unlock Chrysmela.    Please make sure there is no irritation on the ear lobe, the area is healthy and dry, before trying it on.
