Quality rod
I got the 7' rod, paired it with a Picifun carbon x 2, 8 lbs 8 strand braid with 6 lbs flora liter. I backpack river banks for catfish with 2 telescopic rods on my pack and the micro in my hand. I used the rod for a few months before I wrote the review. It takes the abuse of the occasional snag on low branches and bumps into trees as well as being tossed into the back of my Jeep. This rod is light weight, very durable, extremely sensitive to bites, and astectitc. I've caught many pan fish that I use as bait for the catfish, and during the wait for the cats I fish the area with the micro. I've caught large bass up to 17 inch, crappie and even a few small blue cats (4-7lbs). I am the type who likes quality gear and this rod will not disappoint. I read many reviews on rods and I would say that it seems no matter how expensive the rod you always get reviews that say the rod snapped on the first use. For myself this rod has been top quality. My only criticism is that the top guide is on the small side, even with a proper FG you'll lose some distance on your cast. Casting straight braid you'll get the "country mile". Hope this review helps. Good fishing.

Absolutely a great rod at a bargain price!
Absolutely a great rod at a bargain price! A joy to use for my ultralight fishing. I was researching to buy an ultralight rod and from the advice of utuber i.fish, I purchased this rod in the 7 foot light action and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Great action and super easy to flick out 1/32 to 1/16 ounce jig heads with soft plastic bodies 50 to 60 ft. I've used this rod with several spinning reels trying 2 lb SOS mono, 4 lb fluorocarbon, and 6 lb braid with a 12' to 15' fluorocarbon leader. All are easy to cast, retrieve, and catch fish! A super value and though I have more than enough rods, I will likely purchase other versions of this great little rod! The only minor complaint I would have is the knurled plastic nut the secures the reel needs to be tightened periodically when fishing. There is no secondary locking nut, just the one plastic nut. The rod is so good in all other respects, I won't even reduce a star for this minor shortcoming of the rod.

E cellent little rod for the money
I have an obscene amount of fishing gear, as I have gotten older, I have culled out a lot of that gear and passed it on to family & some kids near bye that can't afford much. I was left with expensive rods and found myself wanting a few rods I can throw in the truck or car and not be too concerned about..not have to babysit like I do with rod/reel combos that I paid north of $200.00 for. This little rod is just what I wanted. It is super nice for the money, has a nice grip and all the wraps are very nice with only one have a little blew (has zero effect on perfect) the guides are great , and although not Fuji ceramic guides, they are very good for the price. I paired the rod with a ultralight spinning reel I also bought on Amazon. Choose an ultralight spinning reel that has 4.5 to 5 star reviews that has a price you are comfortable with. For about $45.00 you can have a great kitten ultralight spinning setup with line. I have caught many trout on this setup as well as other panfish..big slab Crappie on this rod are a lot of fun. A sweet little rod for a really nice price. โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ

Decent light rod for the money
Good rod for the price, a little on the fragile side though. Got a touch rough with it unloading it with other rods & the tipped snapped. Most definitely my fault for just yanking everything out of the trunk. Just be warned its not the strongest rod in the world. Good for panfish or small stocked trout & the like.

Your better off with a stick
With out a doubt this is the worst pole I've ever bought , 3 out of 4 have now snapped with small catfish, 1 or 2 lb fish and it's over for this pole , I have fished for 45 years and I've opened some nice gear but I can't think of a worse purchase than this was, even the mickey mouse pole that I bought for my 4 year old was of better quality , if you buy one of these sticks just break it soon as you get it and save yourself the time.

Great UL fishing rod.
Great UL fishing rod. The hybrid bass really put a bend in this rod. Good feel, great length. Would buy again. I use it with 1/8 ounce lures.

Great Bang For Buck
If you want to be able to tell if that's a branch your lure just passed over or a big branch then you don't want this rod . It's sensitive but not ultra sensitive. Using braided line helps but there are others out there that are much more sensitive . I can tell the difference between a bite and a rock but I probably have missed many fish because I misread the feel . If you want to cast your 1/16oz lure 50 yards you don't want this rod . If 15 yards will do this is a real bargain and this thing is a real treat . I paired my 1st one with a Zoom by Piscifun in a 500 size and it's balanced nicely . Not quite as balanced as my 4'6" ultralight Uglystik G2 with Lews Laser Lite size 20 but not bad at all . I have 2 of these and both seem to be about the same in quality and both arrived safely . The one in the photo is paired with a different brand reel but looks and feels about the same in hand . I plan on using this combo along banks that are difficult to get a decent cast with my baitcasters due to brush and cover . I like this rod so much I ordered a 4-6 ultralight for when I go wading in Swift Creek and such . Edit I took the day to go fishing just to compare rods . Baitcaster vs spinner reels but all the spinner rods being Micro Series be it 5'6"light vs light baitcaster or 4'6" ultralight vs 6' ultralight baitcaster . All 3 of the Micro Series that I own held their own against their contenders . The lights worked apples to apples except in sensitivity where the others won by a huge margin . Distance , accuracy , flex were ties . With the ultralight contest the Micro came within a couple of yards in distance cast but giving up 18" I actually give that win to the Shakespeare . Accuracy and flex were close but the much shorter one was harder to get as accurate but I'm sure in a few more trips that'll be equal as well . I'll be honest out of the plethora of rod and reel combos I have my new favorite is the 4'6" ultralight Micro Series rod and the reel I put on it . That thing will work anywhere I decide to go fishing and will cast anything I normally use as I very rarely go above 3/16 oz on my lures.

Great Little Spinning Rod.
Great little spinning rod (can be used for drop shotting) Very well made , nice real cork handle, good reel fittings, cast very well, was a bit dubious about the S/S rings but they work fine with a small fixed spool and 8lb braid. Already had a small pike on this and the feel was great. This is a must have rod for the lure fisherman at silly money.

Great quality on a budget
Very good quality UL rod on budget. The Shakespear brand always makes quality long lasting material and this rod doesnโt disappoint. If you are looking for the most flexible and bendable UL rod out there this micro series is the one. At 7โ6โ feet this rod bends on a rock bass like if you have a massive musky on your line. Maybe a bit too flexible for my taste though. It came in a large box, very well protected. It is the first time they ship a rod with a large piece of cardboard glued around the end tip to protect it from breaking. Unfortunately I had to return because the rod came in 1 month late and I bought another one instead. Still, this rod is unbeatable for itโs price. You just need to take extra care of it because of the fine tip that is easily breakable.
