The Laundress Beauty Sleep Luxury Laundry Detergent is definitely not your typical everyday laundry detergent. I purchased it because I wanted something that would make my bedding smell fresh and luxurious, and I really enjoy the experience of using it. The scent gives laundry that clean, elevated fragrance that makes freshly washed sheets feel even more inviting. One of my favorite ways to use this detergent is for sheets, pillowcases, blankets, and other bedding. There is just something about climbing into a freshly made bed when the linens smell wonderful. The fragrance feels more sophisticated than the standard "fresh laundry" scent you get from many traditional detergents. The detergent itself is concentrated, so you don't need a huge amount for each load. The 16-ounce bottle is listed for approximately 15 loads, and because this is more of a specialty detergent for me, I prefer using it on certain loads rather than every piece of laundry in the house. That also helps make the bottle last longer. I was pleased with how my laundry came out after washing. My bedding felt clean and refreshed, and the fragrance added that little extra touch I was looking for. I especially like using it when washing the sheets before changing the bed because it makes the whole room feel fresher once everything is put back together. The packaging is also attractive and fits the luxury feel of the product. It is something I don't mind leaving visible in the laundry room instead of immediately putting it away in a cabinet. Because this is marketed as a luxury detergent, it is more of a splurge compared with regular laundry detergent. If you are simply looking for the most economical detergent for large amounts of everyday laundry, this probably wouldn't be the product I would choose for every load. However, if you enjoy scented laundry products and want something special for bedding, pajamas, or other favorite items, I think that is where this detergent really shines. I also appreciate that the scent makes doing laundry feel a little less like a chore. Washing bedding with a fragrance you genuinely enjoy gives you something to look forward to when it's time to make the bed again.

You use a small amount the smell is divine. I know it’s pricey but I really love it. And it cleans so well

I genuinely don’t understand how this only has 4.2 stars. This is absolutely wonderful. The fragrance is beautiful—more like a sophisticated home fragrance or perfume for your laundry than a typical detergent scent—and, best of all, it actually lasts. I can still smell it on the bedding well after everything has been washed and put back on the bed. I honestly look forward to doing the bedding now. Five stars without hesitation. I will absolutely be repurchasing.

I use this just for my bed linens and the scent lasts a long time and smells amazing. My husband even commented on how he liked it out of the blue. I use a bit less than the full amount I would use with normal detergent and it still gets everything clean and smells great. It is pricey but since I am using it sparingly and only for linens, I feel that it's a worthwhile luxury compared to other things I could be spending money on! I have ordered it twice and will continue to order it. Want to try the other scents at some point too.

I’ve been ordering this for 6months now and I loved it. I don’t know if they reformulated it but it smells nothing like it used too. Now it’s like a linen/cotton smell. But the description on the label is the same.

I use this soap to wash cotton sweaters and nylon items. Has a unique fragrance that I absolutely love. Warning: family members may borrow or steal it from you without notice.

I’ve been meaning to try this brand for a long while, and finally went ahead and ordered this month after seeing the Beauty Sleep scent in a social media ad. I love nice smelling sheets so thought I’d give it a try after reading through the reviews. I even put off washing our sheets for a day in order to wash after this was delivered. Soon after it arrived, I opened to smell and the scent was nice but not strong enough to me, so I knew it likely would not be lasting on the laundry. I used two ounces to wash our king sized sheets. Sure enough, the scent was nice but faint when I removed them from the wash, and even less when I removed from the dryer. However, the sheets were clean and soft. Two ounces was enough, and will last a while if only washing sheets. I MAY try other scents, but this specific scent didn’t wow me enough to repurchase. I’m actually surprised by some of the reviews, but we all have different noses.

I love The Laundress and love the scent this product has IN THE BOTTLE. However, the scent, while divine, does not last when you wash and dry a load of laundry. I have several Laundress products and this detergent does the same excellent job of cleaning clothes. All of the Laundress products are highly concentrated and so while the bottle sizes are smaller, they really do last a long time. The product is very effective and gets clothes really clean. The Laundress allows you to have an ultra custom approach to handling all of your laundry needs so I feel like the value for the cost is there. Additionally, I love that the ingredients are safe while also smelling nice. I will not buy this specific scent again, however, because like I said earlier, it does not last through the dryer.
