I read the reviews but still "rolled the dice" and took a gamble that I would get one if these that works right out the box. It did not. It does not move at all. The lights light up, it will charge my phone if out into the sun. But it does not even try to move. I found a different set of instructions that I think show how to download the coding to get it to work. I had to purchase the USB cord to do this. I have yet to figure out the downloading the coding part. I will say it was fun to assemble with my kid and the electronics are cool. But disappointed it does not work straight out the box like it says it will. If you purchase this, expect that it won't work. If anyone can help me with the coding I would appreciate the advice.

This trinket saved our science fair project. The kid had fun building it and experimenting different uses. I consider it educational and fun. The school liked it so much they kept it and never sent it back. 😂 that’s a win for me.

Instructions where easy to follow, but one of the photosensirs that came with it was soldered incorrectly. The positive and negative ends where connected causing a short circuit, and because of that I spent 2 days trying to figure out why my computer couldn't communicate with the board.

It looks like the horizontal servo handler may need to consider whether the vertical servo is above or below 90 degrees. Otherwise the horizontal servo can rotate in the wrong direction. Also, here was some binding on the upper servo hinge. I had to add a couple of washers.

Solar LED lights up. Turning on causes the RUN to light up and L to flash. L flashes for a bit then goes out. RUN goes very dim. If I unplug motors or sensors, it seems to stay on. There are no battery status LEDs lit. Either the battery is completely dead, or the arduino program is corrupted. Emailed support video and photos of above. Got a reply they will have R&D check issue. I followed up a week later asking for an update. Another week with no response.

I regret buying this. Unable to make it work. -Deleted wall-of-text complaints. Parts fit wobbly but battery jammed in. Most important step was only online. Incomplete instruction set. Wrong instructions. Download a pdf? Poor quality. Low value. Don’t buy. -Build confusion into STEM projects with this kit.

This is a fantastic kit. Everything is clearly packaged and labeled. The quality of the components is very good. The included instruction manual gives enough info to assemble but if you scan the QR code you can download a 52 page PDF with far more detailed instructions. The best part of the PDF is that it includes explanations of what things are, what they do, and how they work. There are also little experiments that it guides you through and little quizzes. There's also a QR code in the instruction manual to download an offline editor for the arduino This can be used with Windows, Mac, in Chrome, or via a Mobile app. Fantastic. They really thought of everything. It says suitable for all ages but I think it's probably most appropriate for ages 10 and up, perhaps younger if you're guiding the child through it. This is such a multifaceted kit and touches on so many different STEM topics. It's incredibly well thought out and it truly is something that kids of any age can enjoy and learn something from. This is truly a great and fun way to learn. The 18650 battery

Idk. It was alright to assemble. No issues there. The electronics seem pretty good. But the software and instructions were very bad-Chinese-translation-y. Not for absolute beginners. Recommend some experience with arduino stuff or you might be lost. Good value for the parts, and it did have everything in it- including the rechargeable battery. Wasnt the worst chinese electronics kit we have ordered here so far. But We never seemed to get it running right despite being pretty confident we loaded the programming correctly, after several attempts. Seemed like a simple issue of very rudimentary programming or sensor issues. Was still interesting and the parts are still useful for other stuff.

Parts missing... M3 Nut (plastic) 4pcs, only one delivered. M3 x 8mm screw (plastic) 4pcs, only one delivered. M3 x 25mm F-M spacer (plastic) 4pcs, only one delivered. Unable to complete the build.

I'm ok with electronic sand mechanics. But this I built everything mechanically operated fine electronically absolute rubbish do not waste your money
