This is the cutest thing ever. I bought it for my friend who is a violinist. She loved it. It was really detailed and she tried to play it. She said she thought if she got the strings tightened correctly she might be able to make some noise. It's really precious. Not a toy I wouldn't think but its a fun gift.

It’s so cute and the details are very intricate. It doesn’t make sounds, but it does provide laughter when used as a joke.

Really pretty in my dollhouse. I think it has nice detail and it comes with a nice case. I just bought it as a prop so I did not try to play it at all.

The tiny violin is very well crafted. I'm not a violin player but the little devil has a chin rest, tiny bow, and tuning nobs that make it seem like the real thing. I visualize a tiny mouse playing a mournful tune to cheese! I gave it to my wife, who hates it when I say "I'm playing the world's smallest violin for you." Now I actually have it!! (She hates it by the way) but I get a little chuckle when I see it. No, its not actually tuned and no, I can't make a sound moving the bow over the strings.

Purchased for my 8 year old son who collects miniature things. High quality violin and case, looks very realistic. If only the bow had metal string instead of plastic it just might make a sound, took off 1 star as there is no noise as is.

This mini violin is a great gift for that hard to shop for family member! It’s is exquisitly detailed and portable— the giftee, my dad, often quotes SpongeBob episode where Mr. Krabs plays his worlds smallest violin and now he finally has a visual aid he can bring to the dinner table or out and about. It functions perfectly and fits the palm of his hand well. I purchased the second to smallest size to best fit his hand and make sure it was identifiable from at least 15 feet away when he needs to pull it out to make a point. Another perk is that the carrying case and stand it comes with fit snuggly in his blazer, pants, and shirt pockets so he has it with him at the ready for any occasion. Even my mom (a former violinist) loved the accuracy of the violin and the cute portable case and the stand it came with, she made a point to tell me that it looks exactly like her first violin down to even the case being a match. While totally unnecessary and understandable, I was a little sad that no sound could be produced from the violin and its mini little bow. I would have given this product 6 stars if it could have even produced a screeching or any type of noise (even a squeak) when using the bow. That being said it does actually make music adjacent noises if you very lightly pluck the little strings with your nails/fingers or use the axe shaped edge of the bow. While my use of the product is not standard, I'm sure it be the perfect addition to any dolls, doll houses, displays, or collections of minis. I would and likely will buy this item again— I’m already planning to get the smallest size to add to a cute Mr. Krabs plushy right between one of his meaty claws so my dad can display the toy in his office. All in all this is a great gift for SpongeBob fans and all the melodramatic complainers in your life… and probably also for doll houses and miniatures, but mainly for the former. 😉

I carry my tiny violin everywhere I go, always prepared to show it to someone who is complaining excessively about something. Works great. The stand is a bonus. People are always impressed with the detail.

This is the cutest violin toy or memorabilia. The details and very good and it has a good quality look. I used it as a cake topper for my daughter's birthday cake, and she has it still as a souvenir. I got the 6.31" one and the size of the cake was a 7" round. The case, the holder and the bow are all good quality. This violin does not play.

I have bought this as a gag gift but I am impressed by the quality of construction.
