High-quality dual dash cam for peace of mind
Great picture quality and wide coverage: This dual dash cam does an outstanding job capturing video both inside and outside my car in crisp 2.7K resolution, ensuring every detail is clear. The infrared night vision works wonderfully for low-light conditions, which is essential for night driving or rideshare use. Installation was straightforward with the included suction cup mount, and the 5G WiFi makes it easy to transfer footage to my phone through the app. It also has useful features like loop recording, parking mode, and Gdsensor detection for added security when the car is parked. Overall, this dash cam offers excellent value and peace of mind on the road with its reliability and feature2drich design.

Vantrue S1Pro Dash Cam Review
I have had a different model, the Vantrue N2X, for my vehicle for 8 months now. I have been so impressed by its build, video quality and reliability, that I purchased the S1 Pro for my wife’s car. I would have purchased the same model I have, but my wife liked the S1 Pro's compact design and rear camera; she has been happy ever since. This dashcam has been installed now for a few months and it has been nothing but exceptional. The installation was very simple and the initial setup and configuration was a snap. All of the installation materials were provided - dual sided adhesive pads, camera mount, clips and even a nifty, scuff-proof plastic tool to separate the moldings so you can easily tuck and hide the cables behind the interior trim. The on-screen configuration instructions are descriptive and easy to follow along with. Once you're done, you literally set it and forget it. This dash cam is loaded with features, such as - voice commands, remote viewing and file transfer through the phone app, parking mode and more! Its compact design enables it to sit virtually unseen behind the rearview mirror. The image quality of both cameras, during day and night, is very clear and high-definition. The audio recordings are crystal clear and the simple and easy-to-remember voice commands work great, providing hands-free operation. Transferring videos or pictures from the camera is super easy - simply eject the micro SD card from the camera and install it in a PC or laptop. You can even connect to the camera's wi-fi and quickly download videos and pictures to the app and sync them to your phone's photo library. In summary - with its exceptional build and image quality, rich feature set, reliability, I am extremely satisfied with the S1 Pro and would highly recommend it.

Works great but small issues!
This is a really nice dash cam and works excellent. Clear picture and easy to set up. Only issue is the app. It connects via WiFi but when you try to download video, it constantly disconnects. One other thing to be aware of. This dash cam requires a 12 volt dc power source so your usb ports will not work or power the camera. The plug on the power cable requires a cigarette lighter. I then bought a usb to dc converter with a female end to plug in the cigarette lighter plug. At this point the camera works great! However, once it was all plugged in I could no longer get my radio stations. If your usb is part of your entertainment system, the adapter may cause issue with your radio. I am now buying a 110v ac to DC adapter with a female cigarette lighter plug and will power it that way. It’s a hassle to get all this figured out so I hope this helps others! If you don’t want to get the adapter, you could wire it directly to a DC power source in your fuse block.

Good
I’ve been using this dash cam for a bit and I’m really happy with it so far. The video quality is super clear, even at night, and you can actually read license plates which is a big plus. I like that it has three cameras, so it covers everything . Perfect for Uber driving, especially if you have an older model vehicle. Setup wasn’t hard, it comes with everything you need. Wi-Fi feature makes it easy to check videos on my phone. Overall it feels reliable and definitely worth it for the price.

Don't Buy If You Want Live View Over Cellular
I purchased the Vantrue N2X Dash Camera specifically for its advertised cellular live streaming and app communication features when paired with the Vantrue Cellular Module. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. First, there are no real instructions—none—for setting up the N2X with a cellular provider. The documentation completely fails to explain how to properly configure the Cellular Module, troubleshoot authentication issues, or understand network requirements. You’re left guessing, experimenting, or relying on support. The camera initially worked during a long road trip from Washington, D.C. to Los Angeles, CA using a T-Mobile SIM, which was the entire reason we bought it. My son was able to watch our drive across the country in real time through the app. However, once we arrived in Los Angeles, the system completely stopped working. The N2X + Cellular Module became permanently stuck at “authentication with Vantrue servers” and would not connect to the cellular network at all. We tried everything: Factory resets Re-pairing the camera and module Reinstalling the app Testing signal strength Even purchasing a brand-new T-Mobile SIM card Nothing worked. The camera still cannot authenticate with Vantrue’s servers, cannot establish a cellular connection, and cannot join the Vantrue account. In other words, the core feature that justified the purchase is unusable. Vantrue admitted fault, but their response was to offer a measly $20 compensation for a product that does not function as advertised. For a premium dash camera with a paid cellular module and data plan, this is frankly insulting. As of today, the problem remains unresolved. This camera’s cellular features are unreliable, poorly documented, and dependent on Vantrue’s backend servers, which clearly cannot be trusted. Combined with weak technical support and dismissive compensation, this makes the N2X a bad purchase. Do not buy this camera if you are expecting the live streaming or cellular features to work consistently. In its current state, it is not fit for purpose and should not be sold as a cellular-enabled product.

Great Buy; Get the Hardware Kit and Watch Tutorial!
My windshield was shattered by an unidentified object on the highway in Feb. It was the aha moment for me that forced me to do some research and get a dashcam for myself. I am glad I got this one in the end, and felt it deserved a 6 month user review/tip sharing here. The best setup for the Vantrue N2X in my humble opinion is: 1. Get the dashcam, follow the manual included in the box to place cleanly on your windshield 2. Get Vantrue's microSD card (sold separately, I got the 256 GB, ASIN: B07WWCLHGM) 3. Download the Vantrue App on your phone, connect your N2X to your phone wifi for instant view/edits. 4. Get Vantrue's Hardware Kit for Parking Mode (sold separately, ASIN: B083XB8T7T) 5. Watch the brilliant youtube tutorial carefully for how to tuck your wires away from sight professionally and/or how to hard wire the Hardware Kit to your vehicle safely (Look up "How to SAFELY Install a Dash Camera in a Car with Airbags (Hard Wire and Rear Cam)" by ChrisFix) Can this work without the hardware kit or without watching the tutorial clip? Yes, as long as you get a functioning microSD card with the N2X and just plug it in your cigarette lighter port, it works fine. The manual will get you there. You will however have a dangling USB-C wire hanging from your N2X down to your cigarette lighter port. So you will want to at least watch sections of the tutorial clip above (start at 11:05 for dashcam installation, and 13:00 for tucking the wires away like magic, clip uses a different Vantrue model but works across the board), poof, like a pro, no more wires hanging above or below. Now, do I really need that hardware kit? No, if you have a garage and live and go about in safe neighborhoods most of the time, no, it's not worth the hassle. But if you park on the street or an open parking lot and/or go outdoors a lot, I would definitely recommend getting the kit. Without the kit, you can't use the Parking Mode, which uses minimal vehicle power without draining your vehicle battery overnight and records when the motion sensor detects vibration/collision when your vehicle is parked (hence "Parking Mode"). ChrisFix goes above and beyond in the tutorial clip showing you patiently how to hard-wire the kit to the right fuse box sockets. Do I need that Vantrue App on my phone? Not really, but it's handy since you can view your front/back camera and make edits right away on a bigger screen versus toggling on the dashcam or waiting until you get home and plug the microSD to your computer. Once you have everything set up (you'll be glad you did all the work), you can enjoy your N2X working quietly almost out of sight at full functionality. The mount is super easy the detach and reattach the N2X, the size is just right under the rear view mirror, love that GPS is included, and for me 256 GB was plenty enough SD space. I generally check and reformat after a week's recording. The Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 5M CMOS sensor really captures a lot of detail when recording and HDR gives shadows and night recordings life. You can see license plates quite clearly as long as you're within a car's length away. Audio recording is decent for the purpose of a dashcam. I have the sensitivity of Collision Detection set at 5 (highest level) that triggers Event recording the easiest. Little bumps or anything the N2X detects and records is stored in your SD card "Event" folder. Other recordings show up in the "Normal" folder that will overwrite itself when full if you don't clear or reformat it. If you have Parking Mode on, those will show up in "Parking" folder. This was my first dashcam purchase, and it's still running strong after 6 months. I can't speak for how well this compares with other models, but this was a really good bang for the buck for my purpose.

Clear Video Quality, Easy to Use, and Excellent Number Plate Visibility
I recently bought the Vantrue N2X as my dash cam, and after using it for a while, I can say I’m genuinely happy with the purchase. I did a lot of research before buying, and this model seemed to offer a good balance between video quality, features, and ease of use. The video clarity is excellent, especially the front camera with the Sony STARVIS 2 sensor. During the daytime, license plates and road signs are very clear, and even at night the HDR performance handles headlights and low-light conditions surprisingly well. One thing I specifically noticed is that number plates can actually be read clearly in most situations, which is extremely important in case of an accident or hit-and-run. That is something many dash cams struggle with, especially at night or while vehicles are moving, but this one performs much better than expected. The inside cabin camera is also very useful and the IR night vision works great in complete darkness. I tested it during late-night driving and was impressed with how clearly it captured the interior without being overly bright or blurry. Installation was much easier than expected for a first-time user. The magnetic mount design is convenient, and the camera feels solid and premium once installed. The 5.8G WiFi connection is fast and stable, making it easy to preview and download footage directly to the phone app without removing the SD card every time. I also like the built-in GPS feature because it records speed and location data accurately, which could be really useful in case of an accident or insurance claim. Voice control is another feature I didn’t think I would use much, but it actually works well while driving and helps avoid distractions. One thing that stood out to me is the parking mode and buffered recording feature. Knowing that the camera can record incidents even while parked gives extra peace of mind. The menu system is straightforward, and overall the dash cam feels reliable and well-designed. For someone using a dash cam for the first time, this has been a very good experience so far. It feels like a high-quality product with premium features, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a front and inside dual dash cam setup.

Excellent low-light recordings and wide interior cabin POV
The Vantrue N2X has been a very reliable and capable 2-channel dash cam. The nighttime and daytime video captures are high quality and the interior cabin camera has a very wide view. The app is also very intuitive to use and reviewing / downloading videos is very fast. Pros - Reliable dashcam with good customer service support - Nighttime and daytime videos are clear (refer to video where you can see the licence plate in low light) - The cabin camera covers quite a wide view capturing both sides and rear windows (refer to daytime picture of interior cabin and nighttime picture of vehicle passing on the left) - The Vantrue app is very intuitive which makes reviewing/downloading videos and changing settings easy (refer to pictures of the app). Once the videos have been downloaded, all the GPS information becomes available (picture of video playback with real-time route tracking; please note map is zoomed in but street names are normally all there) - The N2X turns on right away once the auxiliary/ignition is on - Option to manually tag video events or take a picture by pressing a button or to use voice command in order to review later - Accepts up to 512gb microSD card Cons - It would be nice if it came with a suction mount as we intend to bring this dashcam with us when traveling in rental vehicles. - Occasionally, the dashcam sporadically tags an event/takes a picture (there were no obvious bumps in the road or a railway crossing or any loud cabin noise). Admittedly, I haven’t explored dialing down the sensitivity setting yet as I’m okay accepting an occasional false positive.

Great camera
Seems to use a lot of power and gets quite hot. Not sure why I need to take it down from sunlight, etc. when it's supposed to monitor for impact while I'm not in it (this would require it to be powered and in position to take a picture or video of the incident, no??). Was a replacement of my old Vantrue which just stopped showing the front view on the screen. Very small rebate received. Will definitely be looking for another company's camera because they are so much less expensive, offer equal or better quality and are more easily interactive with their apps.
