This strainer housing assembly is designed to use with Hayward power-flo lx above-ground and power-flo ii series self-priming swimming pool pumps. Made of ABS material. Assembly includes housing, basket and lid with O-ring. Sizing: 1.5" fip inlet and 1.5" mip outlet. Review: It fit perfectly into my old pump. 5 minute installation. Our original housing had a tab for lid to stay closed when turned that got busted, so we needed to find another to fit our Hayward. Worked great!

Perfect replacement
Perfect replacement for my Hayward Strainer. Didn't need to use the lockring from the old strainer. This comes with the strainer basket and O-rings. No need to use Teflon tape on the threads that go into the impeller, but I did use Teflon tape on the inlet connection. Be sure to use gasket lube on the O-ring for the lid, or you may have a slight leak at the thinner sections of the strainer top. I use it anytime that I take the lid off to clean the basket.

Seal around lid leaks
This works pretty good but the seal around the lid is not water tight and lets water seep out. Before I would buy this again, I will look elsewhere first. UPDATE 06/05/24 - Leaking has stopped and I am upgrading to 4 stars. If it continues not to leak for a couple of weeks I will upgrade to 5 stars! UPDATE 07/16/24 - The lid broke. The ear on the lid is U- shaped and it broke off. Cheap plastic crap. Flooded my pump area. I will have to buy a new one as all the plumbing fits it. I will look for a new one next year. The quality of this product is nonexistent. Down grading to lowest possible rating
