Quality stir plates cost $100s of dollars. This will never be mistaken for one of those. But for the price I was surprised how well it works. Needs a little care at startup, but that's OK. Been running for a while, still works and nothing is getting hot.

While this is more of an industrial, lab grade piece of equipment. My wife and I find ourselves adding more and more supplemental powders to our drinks. Traditional mixers usually increase the amount of cleaning needed exponentially. This is particularly true with some of the fine or even extra gritty powders that can get into the mechanisms or turn into concrete in the mixing vessel. This uses magnetism to stir your drink (or solution). You basically drop in a plastic encased piece of metal, about the size of a large pill, which the base the causes to spin, string your drink. When done you use the provided wand and it pulls out the pill and you are done. The only things to clean are the little pill and the wand. That’s it. I also might recommend this to parents if your children as they can experiment/help with blending things and there is no chance they’ll launch fluids everywhere from turning it on without a tip, or hurt themselves on sharp blades. Is this perfect for everything? Obviously no, you won’t be making frozen drinks with this and at a certain viscosity, it looses its ability to mix completely, but for most things we’ve tried this is a great solution.
